Adhesion of dangerously low quality

The heavy grit is holding up well, but the sanding disc adhesion is VERY poor. br>br>I bought these specifically for the Norton brand because I have had good experience with their abrasion products in the past. br>br>The heavy grit is holding up well, but the adhesion on the sanding disc is VERY poor. In fact, one of the discs flew off the platter at a high rate and smashed into my (prescription) safety glasses, causing deep scratches in the lens that will cost around 140 dollars to replace. br>br>So, if you decide to buy, clean the platter with alcohol or another solvent and secure the disc to your sander with spray adhesive to avoid injury to yourself or others in your shop.

I've had some PSA discs peel off after sitting for a while, but these seem to stay stuck on pretty well. And I was getting serious about profiling a piece of 1/4" steel, and they stood up to the abuse.

A fantastic performance! I used these to experiment with grinding on H- A 90-degree die grinder (25,000rpm) was used to grind 13 steel

It's amazing how well it's performed. The disc pad continued to cut and show minimal wear as it wore down. The adhesive backing did not peel away as the temperature increased. When finished, it leaves no sticky residue on the holding pad in my grinder, even at high heat. It's a fantastic adhesive. It's exactly what I was looking for in terms of a finish.
