Microreplication is used in Precision Shaped Grain (PSG) technology to produce extremely uniform abrasive grains.

PSG abrasive grains are triangular and extremely sharp, allowing them to cut very quickly.

For effective cutting and even wear, grains are electrostatically oriented on the abrasive surface.

To maintain sharpness and extend abrasive life, PSG self-fractures while in use.

The disc's long life and tear resistance are owed to its stiff fiber backing and strong resin bond.
