It will take about 2 hours to make one If you need to insert a wood plug measuring 1/8", you will require a hole saw that measures 2" 3/8" in diameter.
Using my measurement, 1 3/4 inches would be the maximum depth of the cut. Since the pilot bit measures 2 1/4 inches long, your work piece can be turned over so that you can complete drilling from the bottom. If the work piece is thicker than 2 1/4, pre-gear the pilot bit by one hour in advance. It is also a good idea to drill a pilot hole for a guide. Should be helpful.
I was able to measure it to within a
A 1/4 inch outside should be about three sixteenths of an inch over. Despite this, the outside could look different if there was a slight wobble or if the drill was being held by somebody else. You should drill the hole to 2 1/4 + 3/16 if you are using a drill press and the chuck is true. As far as I can tell, that's all I can offer. You can buy the hole saw at a hardware store and cut three holes in a scrap piece of material.

With a B & W drill bit I made a hole in my fender well to fit a Fuel Filler Tube and Cap I used a LENOX D 3/8 corded drill that went right through the fender like a hot knife through butter. I could use it 20 more times if I needed it to.
Despite the fact that it did cut the hole, two of the teeth were sheared off completely. This is not what I was expecting. I should have bought the Diablo instead.
Despite being a holesaw, it can cut through wood, metal, and drywall with ease. The stepped cutout in the side makes it easy to cut holes, and thanks to the stepped edge there is room to remove the cutout material with a screwdriver.
The item was ordered from Amazon Online without a hitch. The product met my expectations and was based on what was described. As a result of my experience with this product, I would recommend it to others.
Hole saws come in all kinds of brands, Ridgid, Milwaukee, Dewalt and more. I have to say the speed slot is the best. As a result, I usually spend a few minutes trying to pull the plug from the material I'm cutting out of the hole saw, and the stepped design allows you to gain leverage in small increments, so you can get the plug out quickly. I ordered this project saw because it was ideal for cutting 3/4" plywood. It also cut a sheet of 1/4 acrylic for another project. I'm satisfied.
Hot butter cut through sheet metal like a knife through The exact thing I was looking for.
The job was done well and it worked. The bit went through the ceiling tiles like butter, and was easy to attach to a drill.
It cut straight through 1/4 steel like butter just make sure you use a cutting oil, I actually used gear oil I had on hand since the cutting oil I usually used was out of stock.
