When I initially used it for finding the center on uneven pieces before turning, it was only for finding the center. Align it and make a mark on It's that simple. In the next step, I pinned it in the center and marked a circumference that would need to be trimmed before it can go I like how the marks are etched and not printed, so they won't fade like printed ones do. As I have been keeping it in a sleeve between uses, I haven't had the chance to scratch it yet and are therefore unable to comment. Even though it may not be the cheapest by a few dollars, I am happy with the quality and would recommend it.
There is plenty for me to Additionally, this item has a thickness of about 3/16" In the degree markings throughout 360 degrees and in the pre-scale In spite of the fact that they graduate in MM and I usually work in Inch, the drilled holes make pencil marking easier. It would have been a great idea to have one of these long.
When turning wood to make bowls, cups, spindles, finding the center of round (ish) objects is a must all the time. A clear, easy to read, easy-to-mark center finder is a necessity!.
My lathe has proven to be extremely helpful in locating center on logs that I turn. Despite its thickness, this is a very sturdy and well-made wallet. It only takes a few seconds to draw your centering lines after lining up your points.
The center of your wood can be found easily using this tool. This is giggity.
The center of a piece had to be determined before it was put on the lathe, and the center gauge worked perfectly for that purpose.
I really like this solution. The product is better than other products I've bought in the past. I would recommend it and I would buy it.
It is constructed to a very high standard. As an inch model, I would like one like it.
