Once I finish using my black tool, I clean it with silicone (oil) gun cloth. It never occurred to me to worry about rust on my tools. There is no doubt that there is a third opinion. I wish you the best of luck,
There are six points in the four-inch socket that are 1 1/4 inches deep and two inches deep in the six-inch socket

There are tools of name brands I own. There are many socket sets (but not all) that only go up to 13/16ths of an inch. As I get into the larger sizes, I just buy them one at a time. When it comes to socket sets that go all the way up past 1 inch, I just can't afford it. It might be worth the price to buy those expensive sets if I were a professional mechanic who used them every day. These DEWALT impact sockets are among the best on the market. Buying impact sockets is a better choice for me, since I have seen several of those thin walled standard sockets split when you get into those large jobs involving rusty bolts that haven't been changed in almost 30 years. The impact split is something I have not experienced myself. Although it may occur, the impact sockets have a thicker wall that prevents such an event from occurring.
I am not 100% sure who makes this for them but it does the same as my Snap-On. There is WAY less cost for AON and MAC sockets.
Having to remove a mower shaft bolt that I have been unable to remove for years was made much easier with this hefty socket that's well made and sturdy.
I really like the price.
I have used this with my impact bar and breaker bar with great results.
My sincere thanks go out to you.
I appreciate it.
