To some extent, chrome vanadium tools are suitable for use with ratchet wrenches or breaker bars, but they are not intended for use with an impact wrench. To begin with, 1/4 inch drive tools are not designed for high impact or high torque, so caution is required. I'm well aware of this, but when the need arose to loosen a brake bleeder in a tight spot that necessitated an offset angle and I didn't have an impact grade universal 1/4 inch drive universal joint, I made a sacrifice. Fortunately, the bleeder loosens, but I would strongly advise against using chrome, particularly in 1/4 drive for use with an impact wrench. This universal joint swivel extension appears to be well constructed, but it should only be used with hand tools rather than impact tools. I'll look for a 1/4 drive impact grade swivel extension to use with my 3/8 drive impact, and possibly a 1/4 drive impact wrench as well. This tool is fine for hand tools, but not for impact wrenches, as I've stated previously.
It's a good tool made in China, but it's not as good as the old Craftsman tools made in the United States.
It's difficult to beat this tool, just like any other craftsman's hand tool.
