No, these aren't rated for impact. br>br>In an impact application, never use Chrome Plated sockets. Chrome plating on the socket body may flake as the tool body expands under the impact force, posing a risk of injury.

I haven't tried it out in the field yet, but when I do, I'll let you know. First and foremost, the price is excellent, and the tools are made in Taiwan, which I've always considered to be a good indicator of quality. It has almost all of the hex sizes you'll need, with the exception of the 11 mm socket, which is extremely rare in and of itself, as only one jack (Jeep) was made with it. Anyway, I like the case, and the stamped size and tool manufacturer name are also appealing. One thing I noticed right away is that the 7 mm is thicker in the "stem/neck" than everyone else's, which could make replacing locally sourced bits painful. However, since that's usually the only place where they break, that could prevent it from ever breaking. I'll give an update on how it performs in the field as soon as possible. br>br>On a side note, the manufacturer (the company's owner) did send me an email asking me to review the product; only time will tell how well this tool works.
The first one I used was of poor quality and broke with little effort. I work as a maintenance mechanic and use tools on a daily basis, and this one isn't up to the task.
I received this set today and was blown away by its quality - It went above and beyond my expectations! br>As a tool aficionado, I am prone to being harsh on quality. br>Ordered them for a specific repair that required a short allen wrench, which I had previously done by cutting a standard allen wrench in half. Ordered these CARBYNE Master Hex Bit Socket Set (SAE) because I decided it was best to just get a set of allen sockets. Metric). br>br>I haven't used them yet, but plan to do so in the coming days while working on the Massey Ferguson (farm) tractor.
I just got these yesterday, and I've already begun using them. On a 1973 Volkswagen Beetle, I've been repairing door hinges. I went with socket flat head bolts with the hex bit drive because I've always had trouble with hex keys, and in many cases you can get one of those wrenches into the tight spots. The pieces are perfect, they fit perfectly, and they appear to be durable so far. Because I use socket head bolts a lot in my custom car builds these days, we'll see how they hold up. This set has made me very happy.
This entire set of Hex sockets is one of my favorites. I had purchased one as a gift and then purchased another for my own toolbox. I haven't put too much pressure on them yet, but they appear to be of good quality thus far. As a complement to this one, I recommend looking into the Carbyne Torx set.
I wouldn't say it's of the highest quality, but I've had it for six months. One of the small ones snapped, but the Allen bolt was corroded, so I had to drill it out anyway. The best selling point is the size range in both standard and metric measurements.
Thank God I bought this because it's so much better than those stupid hex keys that should have been invented a long time ago. When installing a new electrical panel that required specific torque hex sockets, this tool was used.
The set will be an excellent addition to my tool collection. br>My set did not come with a Red and White placard card explaining the contents of the box or advertising the set. br>Keith Eck, please advise.
