I had a husky t55 but realized I needed a few more sizes to complete the job, so I purchased this carbine set. The carbyne is straight all the way down, which appears to me to be a more durable design. Also, the tip edges go down further, resulting in less rounding, which was ideal for what I needed. br>br>I have to say it appears to be well made and did the job; there were no marks on any of the bits I used, and no slipping.
So, to put it another way, this is more of an unboxing. I'll put them to use tomorrow, and I'm hoping for a good result. I'm impressed with this product, from the case to the quality of the tool set; I've been missing a complete Torx set for far too long. A nice touch is that it comes with a letter from Carbyne's owner, asking for feedback if you are dissatisfied with the product in any way. br>br>One point to note: in the Amazon photo, the case lid has a printed card indicating the tool assortment and placement. I'm not sure if it's necessary because the molded box has callouts, but they're not as easy to read as a card. It's just a thought. br>br>If they fall short of the 5 stars I've given, I'll update or post a new review after using them.
For the occasional car mechanic, this is a good set to have. Torx fasteners are becoming more common, so this is becoming a requirement. It is possible to deceive an e-mail recipient. a torx bolt with a regular socket or an allen with a torx; It's worth it to me to use the right tool because dealing with a striped bolt head in tight quarters turns a difficult job into an absolute nightmare.
I made the decision to try out this master Torx set. I've already used the t50 and t55 with a 1/2'' impact, and they've done an excellent job. With the rising cost of everything, finding quality at a reasonable price is fantastic.
I needed sockets after putting together a tool set. These seem to be quite durable, and I don't see any problems with them. I'm glad I chose a nicer set because I believe these will last a long time; the box could be a little nicer, but it does the job and I can't complain.
This entire set of Torx sockets is one of my favorites. I had purchased one as a gift and then purchased another for my own toolbox. I haven't put too much pressure on them yet, but they appear to be of good quality thus far. As a complement to this one, I recommend looking into the Carbyne Hex set.
Well I have to say save your money because I had to return this set for another due to 1 item being broken upon opening , I cannt tell what the sockets are.
I've been using them for about a month and they've performed admirably. The dimensions appear to be accurate, and the case is attractive. However, when opening the case, keep it flat to avoid the sockets falling out. Because I keep them in my roll cart, this isn't a problem for me.
