Questions & Answers

Is there a difference in the thickness of the walls between these and the ones I've seen I'm debating between a 3/8 setup and a setup. want impact sockets with the smallest possible wall thickness cr- moly. ?

They're not thin-walled in the least. They're the same thickness as my older USA craftsman 1/2" impact sockets, which are thicker than other impact sockets like those made by Sunex. With that said, you can tell these sockets are extremely tough due to their thick thickness. They appear to be impervious to harm. The only catch is that you have to pay for it. the fact that they are heavier than other non-regular non-regular non-regular non-reg Impact sockets with a thin wall.

I have to wait for 1 minute. Is it really going to take 2 months for it to be delivered to me?

It all depends on where it's going.

This is a fantastic, high-quality set that does not skip sizes
4/5

It would be complete if an impact extension or two were included in this high-quality set that does not skip sizes. Yes, as noted in other reviews, some of the sockets had wear marks. As a mature and realistic adult, I understand that when a company like gearwrench offers a great return policy and accepts a whole set, they will repackage sockets that have little to no wear. Allow yourself to be irritated by perfectly good sockets that have been subjected to light wear. In the future, expect lower quality (i. e. Tools that are grossly overpriced and marked up (snap on) or those that are grossly overpriced and marked up (craftman). Your ridiculously high standards must be paid for by someone, and it is not me.

In the Gearwrench set, there is a Jobsman brand
3/5

The Gearwrench factory received a one-star rating for the major four passes it produced. br>br>My sockets arrived in a heat-shrink-wrapped package. It appears that it hasn't been opened or hasn't been tampered with in any way. However, once opened, a socket from a different brand was revealed: Jobsmart. br>br>WTF Gearwrench? Is this proof that they're both made in the same factory? br>br>Unlike the Gearwrench brand, this socket does not have a painted decal; instead, the name is stamped into the socket.

1/2 metric set with a lot of impact
5/5

However, no 25mm is available. To appease my ocd, I bought them separately. Advantages: br>br>Weaknesses: Construction, finish, feel, heft, and laser stamp engravingbr>br> Why is it that there isn't a 25mm version? Recommendations: br>br> If you're looking for a great set of 1/2 impact metric sockets, this is the set to get. br>br>Notes: With the demise of Craftsman, GearWrench has become my go-to source for tools. A decade ago, Kobalt was manufactured in the same factory as one of the big two (Mac or Snapon), but that is no longer the case. I began my life almost a decade ago by purchasing one of Kobalt's 100-piece sets, which served me well. However, I recently purchased a large red 44" tool chest (which I had always wanted) and needed to fill it with all of the sockets I could possibly require, in every size, with no gaps. Because it was something I wanted to do. Not for any crazy project, but after weeks of cruising Garage Journal, I settled on GearWrench and became addicted. This set, as well as the 1/2" SAE set (which goes in order without skipping any), the 3/8" Metric and SAE sets, the 1/4" set, and a full set of their 120xp in both flex head and straight shaft (hehe), are all mine. I'm also planning on purchasing the wacky allen wrench/security fastener/whatever set. br>br>The quality of GearWrench as a brand is far superior to what is available in most big box stores. Sure, you could spend the same amount of money on a new truck from Snapon or MAC, but these are fantastic. At work, I have a full set of Snapon tools (I'm not a mechanic), and I can't tell the difference between them with my amateur hands. br>br>Strongly suggested.

Excellent Service and Quality!! I've been restoring classic cars for nearly 40 years, so I'm well aware of what constitutes good tools
5/5

I recently needed some metric impact sockets, and the GearWrench combination met my requirements. Despite the fact that several site reviews recommended a different brand, I decided to take a chance and try it. br>I'm glad I did because this is a fantastic set of high-quality impact sockets. However, delivery did not go smoothly, as I only received two 19mm deep sockets and no 22mm deep sockets. I was going to ask for a return/exchange at first, but I quickly realized that I'd have to return the entire set, which I thought was wasteful, so I decided to try something else. I contacted GearWrench directly, explained the situation, and they graciously provided me with a 22mm free of charge, which I received just a few days after contacting them, and with no hassle. I just placed an order for my second set of GearWrench impact sockets, this time in 3/8 drive.

A fantastic set of metrics
5/5

I read a lot of reviews before deciding on this, and all I can say is that Amazon reviews should always be taken with a grain of salt. br>br>All of my sockets were in place when they arrived, and none of them were rolling around in the case. All of the clasps were closed and undamaged when the case arrived. The sockets were not as sharp as some of the others had claimed, and they had been thoroughly cleaned. Sockets were coated in oil to prevent rust during storage, as is customary for tools. br>br>All of the sockets are in excellent condition, with no blemishes or damage, and they are smooth. Will be ideal for me as I work on my vehicle. br>br>While these are more expensive than some brands, keep in mind that you get what you pay for, and gearwrench is well worth the money, even if it isn't made in the United States.

I'm impressed by the look and feel of these sockets after a thorough examination
4/5

I just got my sockets in the mail a few minutes ago. br>I am impressed with the appearance and feel of these sockets after a thorough examination. All of the sockets appear to be brand new and machined properly. br>There are no missing or duplicated sockets, but the so-called "duplicate" sockets do exist. The universal joint, as the name suggests, is a dud (it does not work properly). This isn't a deal breaker for me because I've never liked the idea of using an impact driver with a universal joint. It never occurred to me to do so because it is far too easy to break a universal joint if it becomes stuck. br>With the exception of the oil film that covers the sockets inside and out, all of the sockets appear to be properly stamped and imprinted with the correct size markings and are nice and clean. br>At the moment, my initial impression is a 4. STARS. If anything changes my opinion for the better or for the worse after I start using this socket set, I will update this review.

VALUE FOR MONEY External packaging was also in excellent condition when the product arrived
5/5

It comes in a box within a box, and you'll appreciate the socket set's quality and durability. I was blown away by the QUALITY! For such a low price, I expected mediocre quality at best, but I was pleasantly surprised to find that each and every socket was clearly readable and legibly accurate, and that they held up to my heavy use of tools, particularly impact sockets. Due to an engine rebuild, I used the sockets right away and found no flaws; in fact, I lightly oiled each socket to protect it from corrosion. Thanks to Amazon's Gearwrench engineering and outstanding customer service.
