Thank you for your inquiry. I did a little searching to discover what galvanized steel was and have found the following definition on The process of galvanizing refers to the application of a zinc coating to steel or iron in order to prevent rust. Hot-water is the most widely used method It appears that most of the jumpring maker tools suggest NOT to use galvanized metals since they say to immerse parts in a bath of molten zinc.*br>I was interested to know that. Afterwards, I was able to locate this warning under Pepe Tools Stainless steel and nickel steel should not be used with this product. Pepe highly recommends the Foredom Flex Shaft, which is made of stainless steel (instead of carbon steel). I guess this could be due to the steel used in the cutter dies. This means that the blade and the metal are both of the same strength, so it will not be able to cut stainless steel wire. I am glad you specifically mentioned this since I have not cut stainless steel The Flex Shaft was intended to be used to make and cut stainless steel wire later in the year, but after further research I won't use it for that. When cutting stainless steel wire, I suggest that you find a cutting blade that is stronger than stainless steel and see what you come up with. This blade on the flex shaft may be stronger than the one on the wire cutter, or perhaps there is a cutter that can cut the stainless steel wire. Good luck on Feel free to let me know when you find something that works. As well as cutting stainless steel, I'd love to find something that can do it.
According to my understanding, with the Pepe jump ringer you need a Foredom flexible shaft. The Dremel has not been much of a success for people trying to use them. My first impression of it was that it was not fast enough and I wasn't sure the hand piece fit well. You need a Foredom if you want total success
Stainless steel can be cut with it. I will give you some background information. This material is 300 series, and it is 18 Cr 8 Ni (about) and hardens with work. If you use thick chips, cut it slower to get the chips under work-hardening conditions. Use a little oil to minimize heating while cutting. Cutters will stop cutting as soon as they become dull. Don't try to cut in that loop again right away. Change the cutter right away but don't make the adjustment again. As soon as you use the new cutter, it will become dull. The loop need to be cut out and you need to start over with It is more corrosion resistant to use ferritic or martensitic steel, however they cut better. Get a bit of soft or 1/4 hard wire. It may take a little time to find the right feed and speed for the wire.
I do not think it comes with a drill. The Flexible Shaft Machine I bought was 1/4 hp and was sold There is a 97-cent charge for JewelryTools.

On the third coil I unintentionally put my blade in backwards, and that caused me to break my first blade. My first order was a bunch of rings from other suppliers, and after trying some of the thin cut dremel blades I finally ordered some Pepetools blades from them as well. thicker dremel blades cut jump rings with an alarming width compared to the thin cut blades. I am still not an expert in cutting rings, but you must ensure you set the blade in the proper direction when you do it. I watched several videos on youtube, but nothing beats experience. The saw must be stabilized both from the top and from the blade. I used a lot of pressure on top to ensure the blade doesn't jump, and the right tension to ensure the blade keeps moving forward. So far I've made 20 coils of 18 and 16 gauge copper, as well as a few copper and Argentium silver coils (each 18 gauge). The silver technique is still a bit of a learning process for me. I had a small hop on one coil and ruined about 14 of it. Each jump ring has five The coil holder needs to be bolted to use and the ability to coil to a depth of 1/2mm is an added bonus. There can be a few problems ordering jump rings at times they may not be the right size or should be made of the correct metal or they might be out of stock on the size you need. For anyone who makes a lot of chainmaille, this is an almost essential item.
To start with, I thought the kit had everything I need to make jump rings. I do not recall it doing so. A handset that acts as the saw cutting mechanism must be purchased at an additional cost of $300. In the picture and add, two aluminum base plates (2) are displayed, while the plates are made of In my call with Pepetools, they told me it was a mistake and they would not send me aluminum replacement tools. It did not give measurements in MM size on the mandrel holder. The last, and most disappointing feature is that the bearings in the winding mechanism seem to have been mis-aligned It is large. It was after my conversation with Pepetools that I found out this information. Returning this item is the best option for me.
The handle will only fit on Foredom Flex-based models You can extend. The only reason I did not give this five stars was because of In the first place, there is no "milled aluminum base" for the mandrels. In the package, it was not included. As for the missing part, Pepetools is going to send it to me as soon as possible. The handle adapter, however, seems to only fit the Foredom flexhead. You can extend. The only Dremel tools I own are Dremel tools and the flexible Dremel tool It is not possible to use an extender. An adapter would have been useful if both models were compatible. Since I have a lathe, I might be able to convert In any other case, I will have to buy the Foredom, which I expect to be more expensive than I originally.
I bought it as a used/reconditioned unit. This item is used for The proposed amendments are acceptable The item has cosmetic damage on its sides (less than 20%). Damage to the cosmetics of the bottom of the item (less than 20%). A crack or dent does not exist on this item. The item will be packaged in its Damage will occur to the packaging. However, there was no indication that the saw blade would be broken, or that two of the inset screws for the hand piece holder would not be included. Even though the price was decent, I would have appreciated it if there were missing parts or pieces that had been damaged.
Changing a saw blade is not as simple as buying one. In order to return the entire unit, you must do it all at once. As long as you guys replace the blade, I am willing to change my star rating! I appreciate it.
We had no problems with it until the base came off while we were making jump rings. . . after you have it all fastened down, you have to remove it and try to get it all tight again. . . in our case the screws that hold it down snapped as we were removing it.
Great tool. I love it. This would be a great way to jump rings. It is impossible to tell from the photos if I have used the cutter and guide As part of my foredom, I had to purchase a hand piece. It was hard to move the hand piece across the gouges on it as I was setting it up. The holder for the jump rings to cut them was a lid that was pressed against the lid. Is it possible to replace this?.
It comes with only one flex drill, and it comes with a handle, so getting all the parts is not easy. An expensive item like this should include a universal way of using it without having to spend a lot of money on it!.
