This is the set. All of their pliers, as far as I'm aware, are made in the United States. However, keep an eye on their sockets and ratchets. They are not manufactured in the United States of America.
The jaw opening on a 10" is a maximum of 2" and on a 9/12" it is a maximum of 1". Jaw opening is limited to 1/2".
That's just how it's packaged, and it's probably less expensive to make.
All of mine were produced in the United States of America. I bought them for that reason.

I'm a mechanic, and pliers were one of the first things I cut corners on. My previous set was made in China and was a pain to operate. When pressure was applied to the tongue and groove pliers, they frequently slipped open and smashed my fingers, rendering them useless. The cutters were also not particularly sharp, and they tended to mash rather than cut things. I finally decided to upgrade after growing tired of them. br>br>I've known about Channel Locks tongue and groove pliers for a long time, but I wasn't familiar with their other pliers. I decided to take a chance on these because the price was still reasonable and they were made in the United States, and wow, were they worth it. This entire set is extremely well constructed, and the difference between it and the low-cost alternatives is night and day. The cutters are my personal favorite. Zip ties and wires are effortlessly cut by every section of the blade. The tongue and groove pliers speak for themselves, and everyone should have a set in their toolbox. No twisting, just easy clean cuts every time. I use them for a variety of tasks on a daily basis. They didn't slip off when I used them to lock onto bolts with rounded heads and to clamp onto really stiff exhaust springs to hook or unhook them in areas where I couldn't use an actual spring puller tool. They're simply too useful to be left out. br>br>The slip joints will lock on and break smaller screws loose on things like carburetors where a screwdriver might slip and round out the head, and they are another classic design worth having on hand. Except for crimping certain connectors and removing small vent tube clamps, I don't use the needle nose nearly as much as the other tools in the set, but they are just as well made. br>br>I was so impressed with the quality and price that I did some research and discovered that Channel Lock manufactures pliers for a number of tool truck manufacturers. Channel Lock manufactures the Cornwell, Mac, and Blue Point pliers sold in the United States, as well as Matco and Snap On pliers. So, at the end of the day, you're getting an American-made set of pliers with professional tool truck quality at a very reasonable price; if you're a professional looking to save money while still buying American, this is the set for you. They'll take daily abuse and hold their own against anything else on the market. If you just want a set to have around the house for occasional use, skip the cheap Chinese stuff and invest in this set instead. When you need them, they'll be a joy to use, and they'll last you a lifetime without breaking the bank. For the price, there is nothing to complain about. 5 stars.
Let me begin by saying how much I adore these pliers; they're fantastic, affordable tools made in the United States. Unfortunately, both tips of the needle nose have broken! Which surprises me because in the two years I've had them, I've never abused them! They now claim to offer a lifetime warranty, but the channellocks warranty policy is unclear. They want you to jump through hoops to get your tool warrantied, so many people just buy a new tool and say it's not worth the hassle.
Many things are available at Harbor Freight, but pliers are not among them. You can tell the quality is on another level as soon as you pick up one of these tools. The handles are much more rigid, the steel is far more durable, and the grip they provide on whatever you're trying to turn is incredible. In addition, the side cutters can easily cut through thicker materials. br>br>They're simply better, and if you take care of them, they'll last longer than you will. When you consider that one set of SnapOn pliers costs more than this entire set, they aren't that expensive.
The majority of what I was looking for was included in this set. I was looking for a set of tools that I could use on a regular basis as a handyman. I was looking for a higher-quality product with a good reputation, so I went with this brand. I've been disappointed thus far. They are just as effective as a standard set. They do the job, but the handles are thin, making it difficult to get a good grip. So far, working with them has been a challenge. I'll keep them in my toolbox, but I'll have to admit that the brand name got the best of me.
He had expected them to be just like that. They work flawlessly, though they are a little stiff out of the box, which is to be expected. He's been using these tools a lot over the last few weeks, and they've loosen up and are now perfectly functional. Channellock's tools are of the highest quality, so you can't go wrong. I know some people have complained about the tool wrap, but it has held up well so far and is very convenient. I can't speak to its longevity, but I can speak to the tools themselves, so if you're on the fence, I say go for it! The set is a great value, as purchasing these items separately would be more expensive.
I bent and broke the tip of the needle nose pliers while removing a cotter pin from a lawn mower tire. Isn't it amazing how flimsy these things are nowadays? I bought two of these, but now I'm kicking myself for choosing this particular brand.
This set includes all of the common pliers that the majority of people will ever require, as well as a handy pouch to store them in. There isn't much that can compare to Chanellock pliers when it comes to pliers. They're even better than my snap-ons. I wasn't expecting anything like this on set. The roll itself isn't up to par with the quality of the tools, but it's nice to have it, and I'm confident it'll hold up well over time.
Simply put, this is a nice, capable, and high-quality pair of pliers. My friend claims that it is preferable to cry once when purchasing a premium tool rather than crying every time you attempt to use a cheap one. That adage is especially true for basic hand tools like these, which I use nearly every day. I received the value for my money.
