The Knipex brand is made in Germany, not in the U.S. However, the quality of the picture is actually better than some Snap-shots I own a lot of stuff.
The SBA simply means that it comes in retail packaging (hang cards a box made of cardboard) In both tools, the function is the same.
I am trying to limit it as much Jokes on you. A clean, precise cut (no protrusion from a flat surface like a wooden board) should result in less than 1/8" extending from the surface.

They were damaged twice. The first set couldn't open and close with ease, and the blades weren't completely finished. The handles were already worn off with the marks. I returned the product after figuring it was faulty. My second set arrived and they open and close fine, all markings appear to be right, the only problem is that the blades do not line up, so they cut poorly. It just bends the tape instead of cutting it when you try to cut It seems like they're cutting corners in order to cope with demand, and the quality just isn't there anymore. If you want a good set of Kleins then you need a set of blue handle Kleins, these just don't seem to be My experience with these has been about a year and a half now. As a commercial/industrial electrician, I use them on a daily basis. It would appear that these 8" cutters are some of the top cutters available on the market today. Despite being small, they cut almost anything without significant damage, fit well in the hand, and last for a long time. I recently blew up my pair cutting a wire I thought was dead, and I will probably buy another pair as soon as they are back in stock. The quality of their work really is that high. It has cut copper #2, jack chain, 12/2 MC, 12/2 NM, tons of screws, nails, staples, and just about everything else I have encountered, all of which have held up well over time. Despite everything you hear, don't believe the hype, these will dull over time just like everything It's a tough job to demo a bunch of 12/4 BX (steel armor) cables, and these cables had an awful hard time getting through them. For the first time, I've had to use half the cutters at a time when I've had to cut cables. If they had 12/3 MC, they would have been able to make it through in one shot, but not with this. It's also likely that the steel armor dulled the blades quite a lot It is now possible to see daylight on the blades in a few spots. Also, I have a set of the 10" cutters, which work just as well, although it is hard to describe how much larger Handles are thicker, the whole thing is a lot heavier, the handle throw is longer to wrap around the same size wire as the 8" version, and they just feel more awkward overall. I meant by "handle throw", I meant that with the 8" cutters, you might need to open the handles 4 inches so you can reach around a 12/2 MC and cut it, but with the 10" cutters, you're looking at a 5-inch opening. To get around the same cable, you need a 6" throw. It presents almost no practical use for the 10" cutters for someone with my hand size. The 8" version would be the far better option if you're on the fence about getting it or not. In general, the 10" version of the pliers does not give you much extra leverage, and if you're cutting stuff big enough to need extra leverage, your linesman pliers should be your first choice. I have tried the Klein red handle cutters, the Klein "heavy duty" blue handle cutters, the Klein J2000 "Journeyman" series cutters, the Irwin cutters made by NWS, and these Knipex cutters, and these are still my favorite. In addition to taking all the abuse I can give them, they are durable enough to hold up for a long time, fit in tight spaces, and cut perfectly. I would highly recommend these if you are on the fence about them or anything else on the market.
Knipex tools seem to be a bit lighter than others, yet they are just as sturdy as or more so than others. It was easy to use the pliers straight out of the package, so I oiled them also, just to get them broken in but they became even more smooth after that. Their first couple of uses hung at the end (every plier seems to hang at this stage), but now they open and close easily. It hasn't been too rough yet, just a few pieces of copper wire, ceiling wires, and sheets of metal, but no gaps have been noticeable yet, unlike some similar items I've used in the past.
It is worth the money because of its quality. My Craftsman collection has dwindled over the years, but I'm still interested in some of Craftsman's chinese crap. liked the quality of Knipex's other products, so I bought these cutters as well. Their appearance and performance remain as new even though they have been used for over a year. These cutters are used to cut all kinds of different things, but most often I use them to cut stainless screws, which usually accelerate the demise of Forging Knipex metal produces a very hard metal that is not yet able to break down to stainless screws.
The other people I know are jealous of them because these are so awesome. All types of filler rod in all diameters, and coax and cotterpins are cut like butter by these guys. My previous pair of surgical blades were garbage, and when you cut on anything with them, the blades would nick. But with these, this is not the case at all. This is a durable, comfortable, and efficient mattress. It hasn't been a happier day. For sure, these will last you a lifetime.
It's great to have them! The silk flowers were cut through like butter, even the thick wires. It's easy to use. This wire cutter made cutting silk floral arrangements so much easier than I have ever experienced before. I had no idea I could do that before, especially since I do not have a strong grip. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT!.
Easy to cut several with little effort! And they have no marks on them after a few cuts! You can cut paper or even sandwich bags with them because they are so precise. Despite their high price, they are worth every penny!.
I bought these for a part-time residential renovation job that I do on the side. There is something appealing about how these staplers are angled in a way that allows me to pull staples easily. It feels great in the hand, and at least for what I have used them, they were able to cut through almost anything (except for old rusty steel BX, which they shouldn't allow me to cut through). It is as if the cutting edges have been perfectly merged. I was most impressed with the finish and fit of the product. My local Home Depot provided a pair of Klein diagonal cutters for much cheaper than these, and these are as good as or better than them. Knipex is a great set of tools that I will buy The Milwaukee tools I have also match these.
The only tool I dislike is this one, which has the blunt tip of the cutter. I recommend using Rotos for cutting sheet metal if you bend it and need to cut it. Other than that, these side cutters are great. When compared to Kliens, the angle of the kliens is better, but the tip of the kliens has a better feel. This is true Knipex quality. It is made in Germany, it is super sharp, it is everything that you can expect from it.
