A little device like this could cut through one inch A stainless steel hanging rod 5/16 was no problem at all. We opted for this method because it was faster and more accurate than using a hacksaw or reciprocating The investment was worth it for just this one task. There was even a sliver of waste cut when I needed to adjust the height.
7/8" in diameter. 1 of my cards is a 1 A pipe that is 1/2 inch in diameter and has an outside diameter of 1 inch I found it to be a very tight fit and the cutter actually cut into the pipe. My plan was to pop it off two more times until I figured out what to do. Although the cut was smooth since the sheet was popped off, the line wasn't perfect. As well as the type of material you cut, it may have something to do with the way you handle it. As well as PVC and ABS, the Amazon website says metal pipes as well. It does a good job cutting when you know what to do once you figure out the direction. If you are looking at schedule 40 PVC or ABS pipe, then you should get the bigger one. Despite my intention to cut smaller pipes, I have yet to do so. As a result of what it did, I think it will work for pipes with a smaller outside diameter. I like the tool. It's solid and nice. It has the reemer blade assembled into the bottom side, and the knob is big and easy to use for tightening the cutting wheel. There is a list of four different cutting wheels on the back of the package, depending on the type of pipe you are cutting. On Amazon, I found a single type of product for sale. The size is fine for me, but if I had to do it over, I would have gone with the bigger one I'd like to add another $00 to my account.
I cut a 3 inch OD stainless steel exhaust using it. The cut was smooth and straight, with no burrs. Because of this, I had to remove the exhaust system since I could not turn the tool 360 degrees around the pipe.
When buying a pipe cutter, be sure to buy one that is designed for There are models that come with cutting wheels that are tailored for plastic, multilayer steel, and corrugated stainless steel tubes. To avoid delays, make sure that you buy a pipe cutter with the right cutting wheel when you buy it the first time, rather than buying a wheel that doesn't meet your needs.
Whenever I had plumbing jobs, I was frustrated with the tools I was using. One of the reasons for my frustration was using cheap China made tools. Since switching to high quality tools, my frustration has been reduced and I have seen better results. I think this is a good heavy tubing cutter and it works as it should. Ridgid is a very good brand, and I believe the additional price is well worth it.
How I felt about something. Nice form factor with a compact design. The product has a light, yet solid feel to it. Handle and use with ease. What I did not like about the movie. There is a product in the US that costs almost twice as much as another major brand I was considering and three times as much as some random generic brand. There is also a little play in the cutter since it is part of the adjustable knob, rather than fixed on the other side. You just have to be careful when you turn the knob the first time. The reason I felt it did not cut as smoothly as a bulkier cutter I also tried might have been due to this. I wish I could find one that had the best of both worlds.
As for mine, I intend to keep it for quite some time.
According to the description, this is good for tubing made of metal, but it is only good for copper and There's a different wheel that needs to be used.
1st Article of the OD There are 625 inches in inch units. It is exactly as described, well built. I used it to cut some drawn lengths of 6061-T6 and it performed flawlessly. I've had a Rigid pipe cutter for copper for 20 years and I love this large one. It is composed of aluminum alloy T6. By using cutting oil, it is possible to reduce the amount of small aluminum particles that clump and interfere with the working surface.
