On the tool itself, there are no markings indicating its country of origin In spite of this, there is a small gold foil sticker on the clear plastic case that says Made in Taiwan. Unless the plastic case is made in Tiwan as well, I am assuming the whole tool is made in Tiwan. Although the tool is not of excellent quality, the surfaces that it matches are relatively These forged faces have been machined or surface ground. When the mating faces are touched, the mating faces become visible. Swaging die holes match up nicely on the tool. It is sturdy enough to handle the purpose it was intended for. Although the handles are formed steel, they are of a heavy gauge that is capable of handling the task for which the tool was designed.
I'm able to get 7x16 cuts. The crimping on it, however, can be tricky.

The little rigging hooks were purchased or to secure small items such as keyholes in locking keyboxes as well as for use in securing keys. With locoloc and nicopress brand sleeves as well as Home Depot brand sleeves, we are 100% confident that the product performs as described. It may vary depending on the setting, always check compressions while driving Included is a nogo gauge. While I was concerned that the tool would be tight and difficult to open with one hand, it was very easy to open. As a result, I would not recommend this particular swager for overhead or critical rigging that said, I would not recommend 1/16" cable for overhead or critical rigging either. The 'Loos and Co' brand is one of the best, in my opinion. LOOS/LOCOLOC products are the only ones we use for cable up to 1/4" in my field of entertainment rigging.
In order to crimp 1/16" sleeves it was difficult for me to find a quality tool. The cable tools and accessories are made by Loos Cableware which is very well known for its high end cable tools. We specialize in aircraft and military spec parts. It is a great company that makes high-quality products. There is a tool from Loos that is affordable, so I am pleased to find one. It is, however, at the bottom of the range of available options. Once I started using it, I was sold again. Their tools go up to tens of thousands of dollars
It's solid, and it's just the right size. There is an appearance that it is made in the A very good cutter is built into the unit. This is the only tool I have that can cut 1/8" stainless cable without any problems. A 1/16" cutting blade does not even realize it is there when it is time to cut it. The lid is also secured with a well-designed latch so that it can be stored in the closed position. This is the crimper you need if you need to crimp cables with a 1/16" diameter or less.
I used it for the 1/16 cable and found it to be very useful for a few jobs, but it became exhausting after a couple. Despite the first 50 double crimps, the device continues to work well.
When you need to crimp wire rope with a small diameter, this is the hand swager that you need.
It is a very nice tool for shearing stainless steel The machine cannot be used as a crimper because aluminum sleeves require too much force to be crimped. Crimping 100 sleeves in an hour would leave your hands unable to do other activities. To crimp it easily, there is a much greater need for leverage. In general, my preference is for a ball-peen hammer and an anvil to shape metal.
Well made and works like a charm! Several devices were swung to desks and the crimps were all strong and perfect. It is always a pleasure to find a good product that works! A single wire rope and Loos ferules 1/16" in diameter were used.
I like the fact that it can be carried on a tool belt or stored in a It is best suited for anyone who makes small (1/16 and smaller) crimps every once in awhile and does not need to make them all that often. But it would be nice if there was a ratchet on the belt instead of having to push the handle I would not use this tool if I had to use it continuously throughout a day, every day, but no big deal for making half a dozen crimps at a time.
