It was recently that I threw out a cheap $18 wire cutter that would not last long and often left crooked cuts, and I had a reel of 1/8" It has been one week since I started using this cutter, and I was almost amazed at how straight and clean the cut is! The cut appeared as if it had been made using a cutoff wheel, but no burn marks were visible! One thing I've learned is that once you use a professional grade tool, you'll never go back to a DIY tool. In the future, as I should have more projects to complete, I'll definitely be keeping my eye out for more tools from this HIT brand!.
My use of these cutters was daily cutting 1/8 inch steel rope, and they are dull after only one month of use. The wire rope is much more difficult to cut now. I don't recommend these cutters.
This became very dull after a couple of cuts. Because it no longer cuts cleanly through, I am no longer able to I should have bought a different product unless the one I bought.
When we tried our first one purchased at our local big box hardware store, it proved to be a disappointment at twice the price. It crushed the wire and made it I love this tool because it makes clean cuts and I enjoy working with it. If you're looking for this kind of program, I highly recommend it.
The issue has not arisen.
It's the best cable cutter I have ever used. It cuts easily through bicycle cables and is well put together. In both cases, there are cheaper options that will do the job, but not as well, and better but at a significantly higher price. the most cost-effective balance between quality and price.
An excellent cutting tool made from a sturdy metal.
