It appears to be OK, but the cutting surfaces cross while the handles are still far apart, requiring 2 hands to use At this size, however, you can only use one hand, rather than two for bolt cutters or large wire rope shears.

Having had them not very long and not using them very often, the blade is already starting to dent in the rubber so far. If you may only need them a few times a year, then they're worth checking out. I use them mainly for cutting braided steel wire. I should have trusted my gut and spent the few extra bucks on the Knipex brand. plan to use them as part of your everyday routine or on a professional basis, purchase a brand that you are familiar with.

It's easier to apply leverage with more room on the handles, but it's still a challenge to cut 1/8" cable with this. Obtaining a good ratcheting cutter that offers mechanical advantage and can be operated with one hand would be a good option.

There are lots of birds that feed on my feeders, and like everywhere else, there are a lot of squirrels too. The feeders are broken when the jumpers get onto the wires. In the past I have lost a lot of feeders due to squirrel invasions and largely because the feeders are not made of wire that is sturdy enough to withstand the squirrels. Due to this, I have tried to replace the wire with heavier grade cable. However, I could not cut the cable until now, which necessitated trips to the hardware store, Lowe's, as well as that I can fix it myself, I can get back to work! Thank you for providing this great tool at an affordable price!.

A tool that cuts wire without fraying ends was just what I was looking for! The problem was that using other tools got the job done wrong. This tool gets the job done correctly. In order to further demonstrate the tool's abilities, they sent wire, stranded wire, and cable samples that were cut with it. It would be good to do business again with this company.

After less than 15 cuts, the handles snapped into two pieces. The bolt holding the handles together was My luck was that I was not injured. The description stated that the cutters could handle stainless steel cables up to 1/8". This is clearly not the case. Amazon has received the returned item. A new update was posted on I received an immediate reply from the seller when I returned and provided My replacement will be sent as soon as possible to see if it was not an isolated problem. My next update will be when I cut a cable with it.
