I bought these to reupholster a mustang seat by cutting spring steel and hog rings. These effortlessly cut through thick hog rings. It's not a problem with spring steel. After using these, I wish I'd had them for all of the previous roofing, decking, chain link fencing, and house-building projects I'd done with those common little wire cutters you see all over town. They're still razor-sharp, and the jaws haven't lost their edge. The long handles provide all of the leverage, and they're comfortable and cleverly designed to avoid pinching. The rivets remain nice and tight even after some use. They're a little pricey, but if properly cared for, they could last a lifetime.

I took it out of the package and couldn't wait to use it. I was actually snooping around looking for something to use it with. However, they are comfortable to hold and the weight is evenly distributed. Heck, you could easily fit it in a backpack (if you catch my drift) because they're small enough to fit in your back pocket.

I thought I'd made a huge mistake when I first opened the package. A tool this small could not easily cut through fence wire. I was completely wrong. I used to use full-size "lineman's pliers," but my grip isn't as strong as it once was at 60 years old. Knipex makes me feel like I'm 30 again when it comes to cutting through wire. It's a fantastic product that's also portable.

as a result of failure! I stowed them away on the roof of a vehicle. Dang it! Great little cutters that seem to cut through any stainless rod I throw at them. They seem to be outlasting my arm!.
