I am only using them to cut through some steel wire. The cutting jaws are positioned nicely so there will be no risk of the ends don't open all the way, they have a decent amount of cutting force and can be used quite easily. I haven't encountered any problems so far.

It turned out to be a good decision. My expanded steel grate did not present any difficulties as I made about 300 cuts with no issues. As you can see from the cross section , The size is 12" x 12". Apart from the paint, it made all of the cuts with no noticeable wear on the cutters, and made all the cuts with little to no wear on the cutters. For me and anyone else using them wisely, I expect them to last an extremely long time. It has been a pleasure to work.
