Do you have the option of using a part of a can after opening it?

In general, if you keep the trigger attached to the gun while it is fully closed, then you should be able to use it The air getting into the barrel and clogging it up is always a worry for me, so I always use the entire can and then clean it out unless I intend to use it within 24 hours or so, since I'd rather lose half a can than my entire A spare bottle of cleaner and acetone should always be on hand.

It is not clear whether it is better to buy a cheaper gun at this point
3/5

It's hard to decide whether it's better to buy a cheaper gun and use it as a disposable item or if it's better to keep it clean in order to get more value. However meticulous you are about cleaning the nozzle (run cleaner through it periodically), they eventually build up a build up inside the nozzle that does not flush out no matter how often you run acetone.

The foam dispensing gun would have come in handy if I didn't have it
5/5

We need it now more than ever. I air seal all of my work with Great Stuff Foam whenever I do any home improvement. It has reduced our utility bills, reduced the need for dust control in our home, and there have been fewer sightings of scorpions in our home. Easy installation of foam is made possible with this gun. You will no longer have to deal with messy single-use Any job, no matter how large or small, I have a loaded foam gun at my disposal. The acetone aerosol by Dow is used to clean the tip of the gun after every use. Using this gun, you can use a pro foam can for months at a time. The drain never clogs up.

A performance of excellent quality
4/5

I wish the tip of the tipped It was my fault that I didn't receive It has excellent control over the size of foam beads compared to the size of the holes. I really like the disposable can and straw combo. It is easy to handle and does not leave much waste as the narrow tips are optional use and do cause some leakage upon releasing the can for further use by my friend. Smoothing out the tip at the moment. The barbed tip can be built into a tubing system to help your foam get into corners and places that are more difficult to reach with the current However, a plus of the current design is that it is Here's a tip You do not have to remove the can each time you use the cleaner. Use the gun (even if only dispense a little foam) every 3 weeks or so to keep the seal intact and minimize waste. Keep the can attached, wipe its tip with acetone, and use every 3 weeks or so.

This is not a durable or reliable product
3/5

I had no problems with it for the first month or two Here are steps one and two for using it Each week, I will clean my gun with foam cleaner that they make. I've had it for 2 months and it's been tricky to use, and a few days short of that, it doesn't work.

You can't use cheap cans with this thing
5/5

You can't use cheap cans with this thing. You'll also find it's a wonderful value if you use construction glue from time to time. For $100, you can glue a house from top to bottom. My normal tube glue will run out before I have completed my project, so I can spend $500 on it. Cons - When you use the cleaner, it is acetone, which is Although the cans are removed after the gun is loaded, it still retains its pressure in the chamber, just like a bullet left in to During an incorrect shooting of acetone/glue, I accidentally shot it in my eyes and face. Oh my gosh, that was painful.

It works great It would be great if there were more accessories
5/5

My experience has been good so far, but I have yet to see how long open cans will last. Despite that, it will be much better controlled than a can in the future I like it more than that. With this spray foam, you can cut down on the amount of spray foam you use over conventional cans, especially if you have a lot of concerns that would benefit from a thinner, or at least consistent, bead size. Some things you could improve or add would be It would be wonderful if there were a hard (or soft) case. It will cost you an extra $10 and you'll see it in your bill The kit features hoses and adapters for inaccessible locations. In this gun, there is less space than in a can. are, however, DIY hacks that can help you do this. *) Shorter, fatter can options are also available. This allows the gun to be used in tighter areas without losing too much.

This foam gun is of high quality
5/5

am making improvements to my home, and a contractor friend recommended that I seal the air gaps in my exterior walls with this product. There is a dial so you can dial in the amount of foam you want to deposit so you can really fine-tune the diameter of the foam bead. For weeks, I have let it sit with a can of low expansion foam on it and it has been able to be picked back up and used Initially, the trigger was a little stiff, but a sharp pull on it set the gun free. If you have the gun attached to the foam canister, shaking it can be a little awkward, but it shows that you can do it.

I'm going to pick one up
4/5

It is necessary to invest in a gun if you are going to use expanding foam. The straws in the cans clog up the cans and make a I think this is better than the previous one. A star was taken off for leaking a few drops out the end that are contrary to the description. Please be thoughtful about where you put.
