Over 20 years ago, I began caulking with different types of caulks in both the interior and exterior of houses. That was when I decided that I would finally get the best caulking gun. It turns out I had a completely wrong expectation. It is my opinion that the best inventions are sometimes the ones that are just a little too overdesigned. The precise amount of caulk does not matter that much for this one, so I leave it for dirty jobs like caulking the roof and curb. It is not recommended to use more expensive caulk when caulking moulds and sinks. There was a part of me that loved this one so much.

It's finally here. The artritis in my hands is slowing me down, but I won't let it stop me. The entire house is being remodeled, so a lot of caulking is required. Big box stores aren't helpful for me when it comes to cheap weapons. An excessive amount of pain after the work was done. Definitely recommend this one for getting the job done with less effort.

time, it pushed out as much caulk from the back of the tube as it did from The caulk tube was bad, so we put it down to that. 5 months later, I cleaned it up and used it again with new caulk. As I called Albion Engineering, they refused to accept responsibility for their product and gave me a list of excuses about the caulk being bad (it was a new tube of GE Silicone) and offered no option for a refund or other form of customer service. The thought of an improvement from $4 was what prompted me to purchase this. My Lowe's caulking gun costs $00, which I got from there. This is a huge.

OSI QUAD is a thicker caulk that is painful to apply with a cheap caulking gun. This gun provides just the right amount of leverage and pressure. There is no need for multiple guns, as this applies to both latex-based and non-latex based I can use caulk that's oil-based just as well. There is no no-drip feature (which retracts the piston after every trigger pull to make sure product does not leak out), but I have never seen the benefit of that They make it significantly more difficult to get a consistent bead down after a run, and I do not see anything wrong either with releasing the pressure in this case.

It appears that I might need to replace the caulk in numerous places on a camp trailer I just purchased. Having read good reviews and seeing that it appeared to be a quality item, I purchased this weapon. I was surprised to find that the wire that pierces the foil on the caulking cartridges extends past the side of the trigger when I first tried it out. To assist in holding the spring, there is a small catch at the bottom of the trigger. We poked our fingers with it when we squeezed the trigger with my grandchildren and me. There will be some major pain if you forget it's there and use the caulking gun on it. Also, the tip of the caulk cannot be cut off since there is no way to do so. The chances of hurting yourself when you cut off the tip with a knife are greater than if the caulking gun has a shear that does.

I wish I had bought it sooner. However, I squeezed my cheap Home Depot caulk gun thousands of times instead to get any sort of caulk to work on a variety of projects and evidently had slowly degraded over time, and wasn't a) This is a fascinating Smooth movement is evident throughout the entire process. With this caulk, it's quite easy to apply a bead that is consistent. You will have no trouble gripping the handle. I only miss one thing I had with my Home Depot machine (which included a tool to break the seal on a new tube of caulk). I wish I had known about it sooner!.

I bought it for a project where we had to caulk 100 12' long shiplap boards with construction adhesive. It was more than ample for the job. I would have loved to have had a caulk gun like this when I was hanging board! My father, who hung drywall for decades, commented "I wish I had had one like this when I was hanging board!" It's a bad idea to play the "poker" inside the grip area because it's hidden from view. If you don't wipe it off, it will get stuck to the grips and get messy, especially if it gets close to the grips. Although I rarely use the poker with pretty much every caulk gun, I do use some of the other caulking guns. Continuing to use the caulk gun plunger, I found it handy that it can be disassembled for cleaning. As of yet, I have not completed this, but I will see how it goes once the project is over. It is one of the best tools in the world and I smile every time I use Several chargers can be used simultaneously with this battery because it holds a charge and can be easily interchanged with Milwaukee drill batteries. The tube was punctured with an old caulker since there was no wire I could see to puncture it. Since I am new to this, I had to practice cutting the tip of the tube and I was getting my bead ready at first, which was chaotic and could be messy if you are caulking overhead or the back of the tube blows out unintentionally. To solve this problem, I placed a small plastic bag around the caulk tube before putting it into the gun and a lot of cleanup time was saved. *If you have a big caulking job or stiff caulk to work with, get one of these. you do the job yourself or pay someone by the hour, the work will be completed in at least half the time and you will enjoy the process much more.
