Fiskars X25 Splitting Axe, 28-Inch

This axe has seen a lot of use since I bought it 5 years ago, so this review is based on a lot of hours of use. This Fiskars splitting axe has proven to be an excellent choice for me. Axe used to split wood It performs well due to its head design and shape, as well as the coating, and should produce more splits per swing than a standard wood handle axe purchased at a hardware store. br>While Fiskars are generally more expensive than these standard axes, I've found that when it comes to firewood cutting and splitting tools, you get what you pay for over the years of cutting and splitting wood. That's why I use Stihl or Husqvarna chainsaws for cutting and Fiskars for splitting. br>Now, in the past 5 years, I've never had a problem with this axe, other than the fact that it's too short for my taste; I've read that you shouldn't use the 36" X27 axe unless you're over 6 feet tall or something, but I don't believe that is true. Because I am more comfortable standing and swinging at a greater distance, I will choose the X27 over the X25. However, this does not negate the fact that the X25 is an excellent tool. When I'm working in tighter spaces or the wood rounds are easily split, I prefer to use the X25 because the longer handle provides more leverage. The axe is simple to sharpen, and unlike wood handles, the handle does not break. It is easy to grip and does not fly out of your hands as easily as a wood handle axe does when your hands/gloves and handle are wet. br>In 5 years, the only thing that has gone wrong with this axe is that the plastic cover lock has broken, so I now cover the blade with cardboard and bungy cord. If that is the only thing that goes wrong in five years, I consider that a success. This axe comes highly recommended from me. Also, have you ever tried splitting wood rounds with an old truck tire to keep them together? It works great, and your back will thank you for not having to bend over after each axe swing.

I bought this axe and started chopping the day it arrived. br>br>Three weeks later, I've cleared the entire forest around my property, built a three-bedroom log cabin, carved out a few totem poles, married two of the Chief's daughters due to how much wood I've supplied their tribe with, and it's still sharp. br>br>Shaving with this is simple due to its light weight, and my new wives seem to enjoy watching me shave with an axe in the bathroom mirror after a long night of love in front of the stoked up fireplace. br>br>Just last night we had a pack of wolves try to attack one of the ladies while she was out getting more wood. The rest of the wolves became pets after the lead wolf was killed by an axe in the head. They now guard our cabin.

It definitely works, and it's razor-sharp right out of the box. That is something I can attest to with my leg. It was slicing through the Oak as if it were butter. The Oak had had enough of Fiskar's majesty making it look foolish. So, when the next downward swing was about to hit the once proud Texas Oak, he gathered what pride he had left and deflected the razor sharp Fiskar into a glancing blow. br>The Fiskar glided through the air, his still-sharp face slicing through it and hitting nothing, or so he thought. When Fiskar felt a slight twitch in his leg, his human wilder laughed and lined up for him to try again. For a few seconds, he and Fiskar just stared in awe at what they saw. Because it didn't hurt or bleed. It was a clean cut through the wilder's side, both in front and behind the calf. The fact that it didn't hurt was the first thing that came to mind for the man, followed by, "I wonder if I can clean and sew this up myself so I don't have to go to the hospital. " " He was well aware that his wife would not be amused. br>As a result, the man and Fiskar parted ways for the time being. He entered quietly and went straight to the bathroom, where he retrieved the well-stocked medical kit. He pondered doing it himself again as he stared at the sutures, but he decided against it. He started cleaning it out, and as he walked towards the bathroom, his wife began to ask him a question. "It's not as bad as it appears," he said before she walked in. " She expressed her dissatisfaction with the situation in a polite manner. He packed the wound, applied pressure, and wrapped it in time for her to demand he get in the truck. Sir Fiskar was so sharp that he breezed through with ease, so the man didn't feel anything and didn't experience any pain. He didn't even hit a muscle or a bone. He got right down to the muscle, and you could watch it move, which was quite fascinating. br>So, if you or someone you know is planning to cut your leg with something sharp, don't do it. This is something I strongly suggest. It's extremely sharp, which will aid in the cutting/splitting of wood or the cutting of a body part with minimal to no pain.

This is a great option for splitting wood at home that will last a lifetime (or at the very least a few decades) if properly cared for. br>br>To keep our house warm this winter, my husband and I bought a few cords of wood, not all of which was split. When you're looking at a three-dimensional object, it's easy to become We knew we'd need an axe to cut through the cord pile. This is unquestionably a fantastic option- incisive, straightforward It's a light swing, but it's powerful enough to do the job. The sizing information provided by Fiskar is helpful. The 28-inch model is ideal for people who are average or slightly tall. The inch handle is ideal for me (5'8"), him (5'10"), and possibly slightly taller people as well. I'm not sure if this is the right tool for you if you're a professional wood cutter. If you're anything like us, you'll be looking for a unique way to express yourself a person who needs to split a few cords of wood per year for home use- There isn't a better product on the market, in my opinion.
