There is no built-in belt attachment on this model, either on the hatchet or in the sheath that comes with it. You'd have to find a different way to fasten it to your belt.br>br>

I like Fiskars axes, and this one feels great in the hand and is well built, but the plastic that holds the head on has a sharp piece of plastic that appears to have broken out of the mold. This is present on the last two Fiskars axes I purchased. It's simple to file down, but it's not necessary.
heavy. This was billed as a hatchet that could be thrown. It's a HEAVY piece of equipment. Wouldn't work well as a hatchet to throw. I'll need to do some strength training before I can use kindling. The knife was supposed to come with a recycled leather sheath, but it came with a plastic cover instead. I am dissatisfied with my purchase.
I was fed up with buying low-cost hatchets when I went camping. I went for the Fiskers one as a treat. I've only had it for one season, but the edge was perfect right out of the box. When I took it out of the box, I didn't have to hit the grinding wheel like I did with my other ones. The edge is still sharp after a first season of camping. The weight distribution is ideal; it is not the lightest hatchet on the market, but you pay for quality.

This hatchet is of excellent quality. It chops and splits admirably for its size, and the sheath is also extremely useful. Overall, if you don't want to spend the money on a top-of-the-line hatchet but still want a wooden handle and a high-end hatchet's feel, this is a good option.
I haven't yet had the opportunity to use the hatchet, but it did not come with a cover. I haven't been able to find a place where I could give that feedback in private, but I would if I could. The only option is to return it, which I am unable to do right now because we are going camping! The plastic cover, on the other hand, was a huge letdown.
I found this one for a reasonable price and was pleasantly surprised when I opened the box at how nice it was. I'm very happy!.
This was my first hatchet purchase. I was able to get it right the first time. This is ideal for my BOB.
