Questions & Answers
If you can get to the roots of creeping Charlie, like in open soil or gravel, Xtreme Weeder can be very effective. If there is a barrier in the way, such as thick grass or concrete, the blade will have a harder time breaking through. Inverting the blade and using the pointed part of the blade, on the other hand, may be able to effectively reach the roots.
This method is effective against weeds in the garden. I believe it is more ergonomic than a hoe. It might work for small trees and bushes, but I'm not sure it'd be my first choice; however, if you could push or pull the sharp edges through the roots, it might be worth a try.

I'm not sure why this tool appeals to some gardeners. I looked everywhere for something to help me deal with the ever-increasing amount of stress in my life. weeds that are growing in the vicinity of our flowers I was ecstatic when I saw this option! I was hoping it would cut through, but it just feels like another hoe to me. Ugh. It was also a costly one. I'm in my 60s, and using a weed whacker is difficult for me; on the plus side, it arrived quickly and in good condition. But I'm afraid I'm not impressed, and I can't recommend this tool in good conscience. br>br>Update: *sigh
br> When I requested a return, the seller sent me an email with a return slip and postage instructions. So I go to UPS to ship it, and it'll set me back $69! Which is more than the item's purchase price. Again, ugh. I sent them an email, and they reminded me that this was their policy. It was entirely my fault. The moral of the story is that if you buy something from them, you own it in perpetuity. That was a complete waste of time. as well as money Oh well.
I've never used a better garden hoe. It's easier to maneuver around plants with this hoe than it is with a traditional hoe. This is what they used to weed at a botanical garden in San Antonio where we were. As soon as we got back to North Carolina, we placed an order for this.
I feel compelled to share when I come across something unusual that meets or exceeds my expectations. I just finished weeding my vegetable garden in 15 minutes, which usually takes an hour or more of bending and leaning on a hoe. It was fantastic that I never had to bend over! Where have I been looking for this tool my entire life?.
This actually works pretty well, but it takes some getting used to, and I don't think it's great for cracks. br>However, I'm still learning how to use it, and I think it's pretty clever.
I purchased this tool as well as the Swoe, which is also an excellent weeding tool. br>br>Because my wife prefers the Skidger and I prefer the Swoe, we won't have to argue about who gets and owns the best weeder. br>br>I really like this product because of the stainless steel construction and the way it eats weeds in the garden. Will purchase again as a gift for others. br>br>.
It reaches places that are difficult to reach. I'm not very good at cracks, but perhaps I'm not doing it correctly. In the soil, it's great for weeds. So much faster than bending over and weeding by hand; however, it's not good in my rocks, which is fine.
My new favorite yard tool, without a doubt! br>6 out of a possible 10!.
The tool's angle makes weeding in areas where you can't weed wack, such as sandy and gravel areas or rocky areas, difficult. I had to keep leaning it to see if I could cut the weeds that were growing in the sand. It wasn't fun at all.
