The description does not specify that it should be sharp, and my knife is not sharp due to its thinness on the edge. Unless you prefer to sharpen it, there is no reason why you cannot do so.
It's doubtful
Upon closer inspection, I believe it to be As I spent a lot of time using it this spring, it worked flawlessly for me. I find this foothold to be effective even if the material is heavy plastic.
The teeth of the bar must grab the weed and the tool must then lead me to the ground to pull it out. I have to lean the bar down while stepping on the "pedal" to get the teeth to grab the weed.

I think this is a great The tool is very well made, fits the hand well, has a sturdy edge, and maybe has the best saw edge we have seen Roots beneath the ground are easily cut through by it. As a weeder, it is narrow enough to use as a dandelion tool, but it is also wide enough to plant small bulbs and a variety of other things. used it to harvest leeks for the first time, sawing right through the roots like nothing else could. As I work around the yard and garden, I can easily carry it in my back pocket and use it for different things. It is convenient to have the built-in measure when It can be cleaned easily and is very versatile.
I would recommend this tool to anyone. This is what I am buying now, and I have no idea WHY I waited so long to spend money on it. You can take care of weeds easily and save yourself many hours of backbreaking, bending over work. I prefer the way it was constructed and how it was all one piece as opposed to the wooden ones that had a single screw holding the puller (which eventually broke). My only advice would be to not use it when the ground is too wet or the mud will cake up the tool and cause it to slow.
However, you can only effectively use this tool if the weeds are green and alive. I read that killing weeds before pulling them improves the process. The tools you've been using don't allow you to do that. It was only a matter of tearing out pieces of brown dead weed leaves that I killed all the weeds before pulling them. Out of curiosity I pulled a handful of weeds when I first got it and found that it had effectively killed the weeds. Those guys will be dead now so the job will be That was a big It is highly recommended that you do not pull weeds if they are alive.
Unlike some cheap, flimsy weeders, this one is not made of thin materials. It was a bit more money than I would have spent at a big box store, but it was worth it. As any tester would say, you never really know what you're going to get until it's put to the test. It easily detangled crab grass and weeds without bending even when I put my full weight on Spending money well is always a good idea.
With its sharp edges (including the serrated side), it is very helpful and efficient for getting rid of weeds, including the dreaded dandelion with its deep roots. Would like a pouch to go with it.
The product was exactly as described and delivered in a timely manner. It was a very good experience all the way.
This tool is not just a weeder, but it's also a cutting tool to cut stems. This is a great product and I bought four of them for gardening friends and family members.
