Bring the item to a place where you can rent equipment. They might be able to sharpen the tool for you or point you in the right direction if they can't.
This model doesn't have extendable handles. Corona's HS 4344 has the same DualLINK cutting action, ComfortGEL grips, limb notch, and non-stick coating as the HS 4344. The HS 4244 has the same stick serrated blades as the HS 4244, but it also has extendable handles.
My shears have been in my possession for some time, and I use them frequently. They haven't rusted yet, and I've been storing them in the garage. They are extremely sharp, and I am extremely pleased with them.

Only a short time after using these did the "pin" or whatever you want to call it that holds the two blades together or whatever start coming out. So I couldn't keep cutting because the blades would hit this "pin" or metal disc or whatever it was that was preventing the blades from fully closing. As a result, I've had to force this metal thing back in on a regular basis (as it keeps coming out) in order to keep using it. So now I'm wondering how much longer it'll last like this, which is far from ideal and inefficient because I have to stop and try to put it back in all the time. Hmm, while writing this review, I had an epiphany. I'll see what I can do about supergluing it back in. br>Anyway, these would probably be really cool (because they feel great when you use them) if it weren't for that one major flaw in the design.
Up until this point, everything was going swimmingly. In July of 2016, I bought these shears. After a year of use, it has finally broken. The flush rivet that connects the two blades at the bottom of the tool broke, rendering it useless. Up until this point, everything was going swimmingly. Because the rivet is such a unique size and shape, the user will be unable to repair it. It appears to have a limited useful life.
I've had these cutters for almost a year and they're the best of the two Corona's I ordered, but now the new extra red section where the hinge is keeps stopping the pin from the other part that connects to it. As a result, I can no longer easily open and close the cutters. It keeps getting stuck where the hinge pin is supposed to be attached, and I have to keep stopping what I'm doing to get it closed. Basically, I won't be able to use this item until I can figure out why it keeps getting stuck.
These shears cut well and have a nice feel to them, but once the bottom pin comes out, they're useless. I should have read the reviews before buying because this appears to be a common issue. They didn't last more than a year - I won't be purchasing anything else in the future.
These are razor-sharp and simple to operate. They slash through shrub stems like butter through a hot knife. With just a little muscle, they can handle larger stems/small limbs. These hedge sheets have exceeded my expectations.
These shears are by far the best I've ever used. They do necessitate a lesser amount of effort. br>Wonderful scissors!.
Excellent shears that are well-made and cut well. They are, however, a good size and weight, requiring someone with a lot of oomph to get the best results.
However, we do a lot of pruning and these appear to be of superior quality and ease of use. Even for heavy-duty pruning, with branches up to an inch in diameter or more, this tool is very effective.
