It's difficult to say because I'm unfamiliar with bougher vines. Hedges sheers are tools for cutting soft plant stems. If your plants' stems are woody, you might want to use a lopper. This pair of shears is one of my favorites. Edward Scissorhands comes to mind when I think of myself. I can literally cut anything, and I can do it quickly. Even my husband, who prefers "power" over anything, admitted that they were simple to operate. br>br>Recent changes: br>br> I'm sorry to report that these shears have broken after only 6 months of use. I reduced my rating from five to three stars because, while I enjoyed them while they were working, I believe they should have lasted much longer for the price.
trimming. Sharp as a razor. Because it was so sharp, I had to remind myself to BE CAREFUL. I still have all of my fingers and toes after doing all of my own gardening. So far, everything seems to be going swimmingly. br>br>I decided to put these shears to the test on my tenant's garden path yesterday (July 2019). Tiny little flower stems, bamboo shoots and much thicker bamboo stems, tree Begonias, briar rosebush from hell (thorns that actively reach out to nab you)--slice, slice, slice wow- As if they were butter, he sliced through them all. I then proceeded to deadhead Echium shrubs and whack the Plumbago hedge back. br>br>As some of you may already be aware, Plumbago can become quite woody. Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh, whoosh, whoosh, whoosh, whoosh, whoosh, whoos Nothing could stand a chance against my new shears' razor-sharp edges. The ease of it all became so enticing that I almost forgot to put it down. Such fun. br>br>And the fact that these shears are so light makes them even better. Your forearms will never tire, so set the clock timer for a reasonable period of activity before using them in your garden, or you'll be out there pruning in the moonlight long after the sun has set. It's incredibly addicting.
br>br>it's crazy because this is completely unnecessary - Aluminum does not rust and does not necessitate the application of a protective coating - But they went ahead and did it anyway, just to add a touch of class - similar to how macbooks are aluminum but painted on topbr>br>literally the handles of this tool are finished almost to the standard of the finish on a macbook laptopbr>br>and it's incredibly lightbr>br>and it's japanese steelbr>br>and the blades are replaceablebr>br>enough saidbr>br> Just make sure to get it on sale because the full price is absurd. br>br>However, for the price I paid, it is far better than it should have been.
For gardening and trimming, I use this product. These hedging shears are without a doubt the best. The blade is held in place by a screw on the negative side. It came out, and finding a replacement is extremely difficult--we noticed it was missing when the blade wasn't cutting properly-- There is no way to get a replacement screw. Because of the unique nature of the screw and blade for operation, it would be advantageous to have spares. They're light, easy to handle, and simple to cut. Punctuality and sharpness are two words that come to mind when I think of precision. They come highly recommended from me. Not recommended for cutting thick materials. They are curved to allow access into shrubbery and they get into the bush and reach well. The blade is held in place by a screw.
These hedge shears are so light and well-designed that you won't believe how well they work. My Japanese garden is pruned entirely by hand. They are razor-sharp, precise, and deliver a precise cut. I've given them to other gardeners to try. They are blown away as soon as they pick them up. They'll take their first cu when they're ready. t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t! t t The slight bend creates the ideal trimming angle; use these and you'll finish in half the time it takes to use a power hedge clipper! br>br>If your leather gloves are extremely sharp when you clean them, purchase an extra blade. get the spare sharpened by a professional.
Also useful is the blade cleaner. This is a product that I wholeheartedly endorse.
br>br>I'm 62 years old, and yesterday I went outside and trimmed hedges nonstop for 90 minutes without feeling tired in my arms or back. After ninety minutes, we came to a halt because all of the hedges had been completed. The blades are incredible. br>br> With ease, you can add detail to the edges of your lawn. Buy them. br>br> T3G2sIf you are as picky about garden tools as I am, you will not be disappointed.
I'm a big fan of hedge trimmers like these. I read the reviews and saw a couple of negative comments, but I can't imagine how anyone could criticize these trimmers. They're extremely light, comfortable, and razor-sharp. They were applied to four ornamental evergreens that had lost their shape due to the previous owner's carelessness. Because of the trimmer's aggressive nature and size, I was hesitant to use it. This pair of hedge shears was ideal for the job. It's very easy to maneuver and manage. They effortlessly shaped the newer growth like barber shears through baby hair, easily cutting through thicker branches up to 1/8" because they're not meant to cut old wood growth.
