I'm pretty confused by what I got in the mail, it doesn't look like the picture at all and won't provide me with the texture I'm It is out of this world to spend 22 dollars on two dish sponges.
A sponge is all you need. Using the sponges to add mud to a wall is an effective way to give it a knockdown look. If you are planning on mixing these with a light knockdown with orange peel undertone, however, you should opt for something else. Additionally, I believe that if you want a consistent texture that matches most walls, you must use a texture sprayer for patches larger than 12". Then, I recommend that you come with a sponge afterwards to blend. In any case, these sponges don't offer anything special. It will be the same thing we sell here for less money if you buy one for $2 from wherever. Also, tear a couple divots out of the face and you'll have the same thing.
