Questions & Answers
Without a doubt! Almost all of the tumblers I build are coated with this epoxy.
Having seen somewhere that Famowood Glaze Coat is supposed to be "non-toxic", I wrote Eclectic Products with the same question as I am sure I had seen somewhere it is supposed to be "non-toxic". It is yellow. Additionally, I inquired how much heat it can withstand. Here is the response they provided to my questions The packaging does not claim that it has any UV protection. Neither is there any UV protection in the product. Placing them directly in the sun will cause them to yellow. It is recommended that Glaze Coat only be used indoors. In regards to using the Glaze Coat with coasters, the product is able to withstand temperatures of up to 120 degrees F, so high heat beverages (tea, coffee, hot toddy) may not be the best choice. Higher temperatures might soften the Glaze Coat and cause it to become sticky or stringy. Please let me know if this is helpful to you. In any case, if you'd like more information, use the "contact us" form on their website and they will get back to you as soon as possible.
Mold is probably something you'll find if you're a homeowner.

Having had some time to play with this, it sounds good if you follow.
I love it.
I was satisfied with the quality of the product that arrived at my doorstep.
My fascination with this resin has grown over the years.
This product meets the advertised specifications.
Reselling epoxy is priced at the resale price. In this case, it's bad business practice to rent a plant that costs three times as much as one you use in your product.
If the directions are followed to the letter, it works great. It is not recommended for use by children or teens as the mixed solution can heat up to extreme temperatures if not handled properly. I didn't need to use a heat gun or lighter to get rid of bubbles in the final product.
