Depending on how you paint it, it might stain, but I know that it can be painted.
You could potentially cover more holes with it if your holes were much smaller, but cutting the plate into multiple pieces would not be as efficient as cutting them into one whole piece. However, in "typical" use there would be one plate per hole, so given that there are four plates to a box that's coverage for four

After I had my house rewired, there were over 50 holes in the walls and ceilings measuring over 4" in diameter. Plaster was attached to these plates to provide a backing. As far as the tacky strips on these are concerned, they are pretty weak, and you are probably going to just push them into the wall 85% of the time. was able to solve this issue by using E6000 glue to adhere the strips, cutting the pull tabs, and then tying them around my paint stirrer to create some force outward. I've been using it for years.
I liked the design of a patch made out of a solid material. Although the plastic was very strong, the adhesive that attaches the plastic to the drywall back was Despite my efforts, I managed to get one of the plastic plates to stick only after using two of them. It is disconcerting to see 50% of the product wasted in an attempt to repair the hole given the cost of the product. A stronger adhesive may have been able to provide a better product. However, you could potentially fix this problem if you were willing to add glue or other additive to help secure the plastic in position, but it seems really silly that this is necessary for a product of this value.
I have tried the adhesive strips, but they do not work. A product with 3M's name on it should have been better. I really don't understand why you would waste money like that. There is only one (of 4! ) As for the one (I kind of go to work) that is sort of obviating it, I'll likely see if I can cut that one out and seal it with a 'normal' metal patch. It should be the person who created them who is.
My experience with this kit is that it is effective. I have employed it a few times now. If you have used the plate in an all-in-one kit, you can use this to patch a few holes after you have used it in the complete kit, but you can also buy it separately. The one-word phrase While this does the job for holes of all sizes, I believe it does not work well when they are small. It is recommended.
Is very easy to use! The remodeling of my bathroom is in full swing. A ceramic towel rack and a toilet paper holder were part of our old decor. There were quite a few holes left after they were removed. This Backer Plate will work with some of the 3M quick dry wall repair products. Following some light sanding and a few knockdowns, you will not be able to tell that the holes were there at all. My opinion of this system for repairing holes in drywall is positive.
fluid ounces listed are not weighted but are measured by volume. Two of the six 3x4 holes are filled with the 32 oz tub, and there is still enough left for three or more holes. My experience with this system was extremely positive. It was easy to use and worked I think this patch kit is by far the best of the three Here are 4 of the "new designs" I.
You can barely manage to do it. It is impossible to vent the material due to its hardness. You will not be able to do it easily as shown on the In my opinion, this should not be used.
Then you just have to clean around the interior mounting edge, peel away the adhesive backing, insert the patch grid, and press into place on the adhesive strips, and you're ready to apply.
