My old Craftsman stud finder was just the thing I needed for a DIY project as a homeowner. After struggling with it for so long, I finally gave up. Whenever you need to knock on walls with your knuckles rather than a stud finder, it's probably time to find a new one. Having read the reviews and knowing it came with a battery convinced me to buy this unit. Despite having solid packaging and a 9V battery that measured well over 9V, the battery was securely wrapped and looked secure. The fact that the battery does not need to be connected to a thin connector, as with my old stud finder, is a plus for me. All you have to do is slip it into a compartment. I had to learn how to read the instructions (mostly because the old stud finder had no features) but I was rapidly finding studs and wires. I haven't used tons of stud finders, but this one is way better than the previous model. The measures you mention are a good way to evaluate the value of something. Obviously, I will update my reviews if I learn more as time goes on, but so far, everything seems.

There are times when it is easier to just use the magnetic version or to hammer a small nail into the wall until you reach the target. Although I was disappointed to see this little guy is an excellent detector, it was undoubtedly satisfying to watch him at work. There is a lot of light on the display and it's very easy to read. This tool helps you choose a stud thickness that is appropriate for your thickness requirement, and I was able to mount some heavier tools in the garage with a secure stud. I would recommend buying the kit if you don't mind the packaging and it came with a 9v battery you can buy pretty easily in any store. The customer service is excellent and I am happy with the products.

At least one instance ended up with a complete miss on the stud, off by half an There was a repeat look and it was found. had to try it multiple times and if it found the same spot at least three times, I had to use it. Every time I lifted it off the drywall, I had to calibrate it. The half inch and inch calibrations were also tried to see if they made a difference in the measurement. I thought the device was better than the one I used to have, but not as good as described.

It was thought by me that this product would be much more useful than simple light driven sensors, which are cheaper. As a whole, the sensor is reliable, however, it is somewhat touchy and requires frequent calibration to make sure it is locating the right stud. I gave this product 4 stars for this reason. Otherwise, it is an excellent product, dependable, but sensitive to changes, and requires periodic calibrations to ensure/confirm accuracy.

The look and feel of the device is appealing, but it is touchy at first, which takes some time to get A movement that is too slow or too fast can cause an error, and I have to recalibrate the program. There is something very appealing about the display on this device. This tool was mostly used to hang stuff on the walls of the new apartment I moved into. I used it to find the studs in my wall, but I had to find the right speed at which it moved. In any case, any lifting off the wall will require it to be reset. The stud finder works well all in all. As well as the other features it boasts, I like it The last one I had was only a stud locater, and I spent more on it than on I think it was a good deal for all of the features it has.

It has been worth the price to me after doing my research for a reasonable stud finder. Initially there was some confusion between mk101 and mk101- but now I am glad I made the purchase. I faced difficulty 1 when registering, but the support team was able to fix my problem and even refunded me 20% of my money. I was very impressed with their prompt and professional response. It worked wonderfully when I tested it on dry wall where I knew there were studs, wires, and metal, and I was very surprised at how precisely it could find the metal. I tested it on horizontally and vertically drawn wires, and it detected them in a magical way. My auto calibration features work like a charm and I do not need to perform any calibration. Having purchased the item, I am quite pleased with it so far.

I have found the most helpful feature to be the fact that it indicates whether you have reached the center of a reach an edge on the screen, you'll see it displayed and as you move toward the center, you'll hear both an audio beep as well as a visual display indicating "CENTER".
