Questions & Answers
The answer is yes. It is used for that purpose every day by me
Despite the magnet's ability to discriminate, copper wire will not be detected. Although it will detect conduit, if you already have conduit, be aware that it will detect it. Conduit hasn't been used in homes for a long time, except for exterior wiring shown on the exterior and for outdoor applications.
The speed is good but not the best.
Amazon shipped one A single Amazon package contains two separate packages. The magnets are attached to every package separately.

I love these stud finders! They work great! Aside from traditional stud finders, I also own three electronic ones. These are two Craftsmen models, and it also came from Costco called the Precision Sensors Professional Stud Finder. slide around quite a bit looking for the screw/nail heads in the studs, but they're much more accurate than the blinking lights and noises of my other three that give too If you're taking that step further, pick yourself up some of these items too
You can stick about ten of these on the back of your stud finder, then once you find the screw head, all you need to do is mark it with the smaller magnet so you can continue to use your stud finder.
There have been several times I have searched at big box stores for these magnetic stud finders, but I have never been able to find any. Despite their willingness to sell you a $50 dollar digital stud finder all day long, big box stores will not carry a tried and true magnetic stud finder. The answer to that lies with Amazon! It works wonders, and I have had it for a number of years. Despite the fact that I have misplaced my magnetism more times than I can count, it does not feel like there has been any loss this year. On Amazon, I found this (2) pack at a great price and couldn't resist. Pro's (Over the Years)
1) I always use these after I've purchased When I need to locate a screw, nail, or stud, I use the magnetic tool to locate it quickly, then use the digital tool to map the actual stud. 2) It can be used on the ceiling without the risk of 3) Magnets are extremely ) I hardly use Small Level for this particular The following cons The answer is "NONE, Period. ". This is an indispensable tool for everyone, and I recommend everyone own one (or several) of these. It is great to work with them! The coworker I gave one of these to had a great time with it.
It's really important to make this advertisement more widely known for other uses than just detecting studs in walls. As an example, I am ripping up the plywood from the floor along with glue and linoleum. The plywood floor beneath the linoleum and glue has approximately 40 3 inch long screws which are impossible to locate under the linoleum and glue. I am trying to save the floor underneath the plywood by carefully removing many of the screws that are hidden under the plywood. In my research, I found this to be the only product on the market which can accurately and quickly find all The screws in a 12 by 15 room could only be located by guessing and digging through mounds of glue, linoleum, and even some plywood prior to purchase. A nightmare that I didn't want to end. Magnetic fields are drawn to screws once a magnet is close to There will be no problem with it sticking The magnet should be moved in an S-like pattern in accordance with the directions Make sure you know which end of the device is stuck to the screw, since it has magnets at both ends.
My goal was to mount a planter hook in the ceiling, and this little tool was just the ticket! It keeps me up at night trying to think of reasons to buy more, just so I can have them on hand when relatives visit! I'm sure they'll disappear when they see the family, so I'm going I love it!.
In our 100+ year old home, the studs are spaced between 13 and 18 inches apart. With access to a lathe and plaster, I tried using an electronic stud finder, but nothing worked. Despite its shortcomings, the tool proved invaluable in locating where nails secured the lathe to studs. Its magnetic, and level features ensure proper placement when marking studs. Better if used as a pair when hanging cleats between two studs. Highly recommended!.
The number of stud finders I own is unclear, but it is more than one. I admit that some stud finders are better than others, but somehow I still miss studs even when the stud finder is telling me one should I did a Google search and came up with a list of about five or six that are supposed to be the best. This one was ranked #1. . . and was the least expensive as well. One complaint I read was that they were small and very easy to lose because of their size. I found them on Amazon and ordered a pair. Our family recently bought a new construction home, so I'm busy hanging stuff and making space in the garage for my work space with shelves and pegboards and other stuff that men who like to fiddle with stuff do to make their workspace efficient. With this cheap stud finder, you won't miss a thing. I like it a lot. Two more were ordered to use as spares in case the first one is lost. I can't think of a reason not to try it. . . and it's cheap!.
They double as stud finders, but what I like to do is to leave them hanging on the wall while using a stud finder to locate the middle when it's time to screw Your toolbox will be so enriched by this purchase, and the price is so low that a 2-pack is worth it You can give this gift pack as a birthday or holiday gift to someone. Having a set of two at our home as well as a set up at our cabin makes me a big fan. This is an awesome.
Imagine the advent of the typewriter, which in less than a decade lead to the museum being the only place you could find one. In the same way, these stud finders work. Of course, I have used the old battery-powered devices, as I own several of them. I'm talking about those LED lights that are supposed to light up As soon as you have passed a stud, the lights start to light up-but they keep switching to other places, so you give up and drive a nail into the wall and hope that it will help tip you over the Those days are over! Gently rub these little tools over your wall, and when your wall contains nails beneath the sheetrock, the powerful magnets will be drawn to them, and you will attach them to your wall! A little guy like this can never be guessed at. Please stop buying the old ones as soon as possible If you think he's still using a typewriter, check his office -- he probably still has old-fashioned stud finders.
