If there is a metal stud, it will detect that as well as the wood stud surface. Make sure it's set up how you want it. This is great, as far as I am concerned.

For home owners who own a house, a must have. I need a stud finder in my toolbox since I am a homeowner. Looks like a reasonably good stud finder to me. As far as my main objection is concerned, I am always sceptical whenever I receive an item that is not in its original packaging and/or does not show obvious signs of newness. You can also use a lens or display protector screen. Has something just been sent to me that I paid new prices for, but it is a used/returned item?
