Questions & Answers

What is the best way to find studs for mounting a TV with it?

There is no such thing as a good stud finder. You can get a working one at Lowes for $10 more.

Batteries of what type is required for this device?

A 9-volt battery is required for this unit

Can you tell me where the 9 volt battery can be purchased?

The question I'm about to ask isn't serious at all. You will not be able to find a stud in a wall if you do not have 9 volt batteries. You can find things on the Internet. Click here to see it!

It was better than I I was able to use the service without any difficulties
5/5

The product did everything I wanted in spite of my expectations that it would be a useless piece of crap. The following are two tips to help you succeed I'm sure you know this! Holding the button for 2 seconds causes it to beep right away, followed by a buzzing noise There is a calibration going on. Put a hold on it if it's not urgent An area that will be used for studs. If it's done, now you can handle it by slicing and detecting (keep holding the I'm sure you know this! By letting go of the button once you have found the stud's edge, you can let go. A beep will happen if you move your other hand near the pencil while it is near your hand. * You will also need a nine volt.

A reliable source of information
5/5

The following is a brief summary of the phenomenon Thankfully, Craftsmen is not too expensive and a reliable band under Sears for only $7, so I have to buy it. I need to install four speakers, but it is heavy, so I need to screw the stud in. Zircon is good, but expensive.

1 out of 5 stars is not enough
3/5

The garbage is completely useless. It failed to be accurate in multiple spots inside my house and workshop (thank god I am remodeling anyway), but I tried it in a couple of separate places on my floor. The best way to find out is to knock on the wall and make I have attempted to mark the edges of at least 15 studs on 3 different wall thicknesses, but it did not even mark the stud once accurately. A single time is not enough. There is no apparent reason for it to beep. Does anyone else have this problem? My unit seems to be faulty. What should I do? This would not be possible if all of them worked this hard, otherwise Craftsman could not sell them.

You are a piece of garbage
3/5

The garbage is completely useless. You'll only get holes in your wall if you do this. I am returning as soon as possible. When there is nothing to be seen, the indicator sounds. The stud is not present.

The review was not good, just like another review I read
3/5

I put it in the box and as soon as I pressed the button, it kept on It failed to calibrate even after you held it for 2 seconds. According to another review, you should hold it for 2 seconds. There is a beeping noise coming from mine that doesn't seem to A stud is supposed to have been found, but it wasn't.

Works on painted surfaces but not on unpainted This product will not work on your walls even if you have only a little paint on them
3/5

No matter where I moved it, it kept beeping, regardless of the wall it was on originally. It had a single layer of paint over builders paint and had just a single layer of paint over that. I then moved to an area where only builder's paint could be seen. The beeping has continued. At last, I tested it in my garage in which the walls are not painted. I could not find a way to solve the problem elsewhere. Spend a little more and get a little more.

The use of random numbers It is a microchip detector (not a The review has just been completed and the update is already in progress
4/5

My rating has been downgraded after playing with this a bit more. Every time something happens, the beeper goes off. There is no doubt that it can locate a microchip, but getting it taered for a human or pet is the most difficult part. It eventually occurred to me that it beeps at everything occasionally. In my case, I placed a microchip under a blanket and the stud finder located it and was quiet everywhere else, but it was located on a large, Having said that, one of my calmer cats did stand still for me long enough to tare it correctly. It did not beep for most of the time but it was overly sensitive. It seemed fine on walls as long as it was tared It started like this -- A random next popped up on my screen I saw a door comment that suggested a stud finder could be used to detect the presence of a microchip inside a pet. Interested in what this was like, I purchased a name brand one for a cheap price. I'm going with this. I found it to be effective. It is certainly true that you don't get a chip number, but at least a beep tells you you have Upon hearing the beeping, I was able to find In order to use a regular microchip reader, you have to hold it close to the skin. There are conflicting results in the information on whether or not it works for this situation, so it probably depends on the stud finder itself.

This is a good deal at the price
4/5

It's cheap, but it does the job. I don't think it reads that accurately. The ability to find and center on a stud is good, but not always good.
