The product did everything I wanted in spite of my expectations that it would be a useless piece of crap. The following are two tips to help you succeed I'm sure you know this! No matter where I moved it, it kept beeping, regardless of the wall it was on originally. It had a single layer of paint over builders paint and had just a single layer of paint over that. I then moved to an area where only builder's paint could be seen. The beeping has continued. At last, I tested it in my garage in which the walls are not painted. I could not find a way to solve the problem elsewhere. Spend a little more and get a little more.
My rating has been downgraded after playing with this a bit more. Every time something happens, the beeper goes off. There is no doubt that it can locate a microchip, but getting it taered for a human or pet is the most difficult part. It eventually occurred to me that it beeps at everything occasionally.
