Questions & Answers

Is this device capable of detecting a level table on my table saw. Is it true that if my table saw sits on an uneven surface, the device won't work properly?

Thanks for stopping by, The question is a great one! It isn't a scam and the device works perfectly! It will let you know whether the table saw table is level or not. In order to ensure that the table saw table is level, you need to place the unit on a level surface before you press the "zero" button. Then, you can place the unit on the table saw table and the unit will tell you how far off it is, and then you can adjust the table saw table to ensure As you know, if the floor isn't level, if you put a flat surface on top of it and measure, you'll find that the angle of the floor will not We'll be happy to help you further if the above is not clear. If not, feel free to contact us and we will explain this better! It was a pleasure working with you.

The magnets need to be removed, right? A tool that measures the angle of a barcode scanner would be very helpful. ?

There is a built-in magnetic feature. If you can disassemble it, then you may be able to take it out. There might be a chance, however, that it will no longer be calibrated. *br>*br>I'm not sure what your project is, but maybe add a thin piece of bismuth between the magnet and your project to prevent the magnet from attracting the metal. Bismuth is magnetically inert. Maybe you could stick it to the bottom with 3M double-sided tape. Now that I think about it, I'm not so sure. There does not seem to be any magnetic pull on the other side. This was just a quick check. You would be able to use it upside down or on its side only since the bottom is magnetic. The magnetic side could be set to a known good 0 angle and then rotated to one side. If it reads 90, then hit 0 to ensure that it doesn't need to be calculated when you use it on the side. Thanks for reading, I hope this helped

Is it equipped with magnets on all three sides or just the bottom?

The bottom is just a little short.

The tool must be calibrated in order to work. What steps must be taken to accomplish this?

If I wanted to check calibration, I would just make sure it is calibrated by placing it next to an "excellent" bubble level and confirming both of them In the next step, we would place it on a roof triangle and see if it was It is probably a good idea to use a level surface you have found for future calibration checks once it is fairly permanent. The way this is done may not be ideal or the most accurate way to check calibration, but assuming there are no calibration tools, I think it will suffice in most cases. Hopefully, someone has a better way of checking if it is necessary.

I was able to square up my table saw with this
5/5

The vertical setting of the blade on my table saw was off by 1/2 of a degree when I compared it to this. While it doesn't sound like much, and it isn't noticeable, it is apparent when you're cutting square corners. As soon as I zeroed it out on my table saw, I put my blade on it and adjusted the vertical setting until it was 90 degrees. The temperature is zero To check, I placed the knife on the other side and it was still 90 degrees. After lowering the blade to 90 degrees, I observed that it stayed there at different blade heights, so my saw was relatively accurate. I'm pleased with the results for a belt driven saw that's 35 years old and no name. My main purpose for this purchase was to use with my new Chop saw and portable table saw, which I will check out My only beef with it was I pressed the On button to bring it back to life when the screen went dark. Don't make the same mistake. Basically, the 'zero' setting of the level was removed. It was only after I reset everything to validate my changes that I realized my blade was off by 1/2 degree. In that case, don't press any buttons when the screen goes dark. Instead, simply move it a little to turn it back on.

The number of functions available is greater than most other mobile devices
5/5

Following the use of four different angle meters, this one made the most sense to me.

To begin with, contrary to what some say, the magnet really is very strong. The screwdriver I used to hold it up had a 1/8" diameter. In fact, I slid the screwdriver out so that only 3/4" of the magnet was contacting it, and it still held using the gauge under it. All right, that suits me just fine. In addition, the magnet works just fine on round objects since it is so powerful. It might be preferable to some to use the V- The type is at the bottom, but the v is at the top There is less surface contact area of type on flat surfaces, meaning the surface accuracy is generally lower. This is because more surface area always means more The third thing I like is the fact that it reads upside down in reverse angles. A magnet is attached at the top of the 30). A little different from the rest, but can be useful in certain In addition, the light is bright and easy to see in the The fifth feature is the hold button, which can be helpful when the gauge cannot be read in the As for the sixth item, it has absolute and relative zero functions, just like most other programs. The only negative aspect is that it only uses one AAA battery instead of two, which is usually the case. My guess is that this device is more efficient in terms of energy consumption than the last one. I am not too concerned about this, since I will not be using my time on an ongoing basis. In general, I would say that I am the winner.

The digital tools fan is finally here! It wasn't a big deal to me to use digital tools or the concept of digital tools since I believed the good old traditional tools were the more effective means
5/5

As to all digital products, I cannot speak for them and I am not ready to make the leap to all digital, but I will say that this little product exceeded my expectations in many ways. It was a good decision for me to take a chance on it and I am definitely open to trying out newer technology in the future - even in With this angle finder, you can find your angle fast and easily. It's easy to use, convenient to use, and ready to use According to the manufacturer, the device is already calibrated and you shouldn't have to do a calibration unless you knock it around a lot. As far as I know, there is no solution to this problem but based on the instructions, it could be done again if necessary.

It's frustrating to have a weak magnet, and it would be even better with a v-shaped magnet Notch or cut
3/5

A magnet broke the angle finder, but the device still worked. At the time, there were When flipping from one side to another of a saw blade, there were 2 variations that could be attributed to the overall accuracy of the tool, but the weak magnet(s) on the base was what sealed the deal. Using the Angle Finder on a table saw and miter saw was fine, however, it would slide down or fall off the Alignment Bar in the drill press chuck whenever I used it. It's so frustrating! Would benefit from a v-shaped path A notch or cut on the base allows a round shape to be attached to it using a stronger magnet, such as an alignment bar (rod, drill bit, etc. ). Also included are an additional magnet (or magnets) and a V-shaped guide It would be nice if you could cut one side of the device with a notch, and even better if it had magnets and a v-hole A notch/cut is located on each of the A few simple design improvements would improve the overall appearance.

It gets the job done, but it isn't great
3/5

The crank on my table saw does not provide the same level of accuracy as this device. Although it isn't very user friendly, it does the job. It will give me three different readings if I place it on a blade that is 90 degrees three times. It is true that they are all less than half a degree, but it can be a little frustrating that they are not all identical. I know this has a lot of five star ratings, but honestly, it can sometimes be a little frustrating. Given that the reviews have been so great, it's not surprising I expected better.

Results that can be repeated
4/5

Upon testing the device from multiple angles, I found its results to be very repeatable. Testing it was as simple as zeroing it and then placing it In the next step, I placed it back on the angle, as well as on the zero plane. Next, I placed the setup at a slightly different angle, and then I put it back at the original test angle. The variance I received is in fractions of a degree. There were a majority of times when a 0 was displayed. From 0 to 1 There is a variance of 2 degrees. My ability to reproduce an angle with a protractor is certainly better than I was able to do with a mechanical one. There is no way to view the LCD from the top of This tool would be five stars if it were fixed.

This little tool is nice
5/5

As this is my first angle finder, I cannot compare it to anything else. was packaged in plastic packaging and included the angle finder, as well as a soft carrying case, one AAA battery, and an instruction manual. * My instructions are clear and concise, and I can easily read the display. There is a magnet on the bottom. As long as it is attached to my saw blade to check for squareness, it will not be less readable. A wider and clearer display makes it possible to read sideways with no difficulty. I find that it is very sensitive to movement and have learned how to cope with it. In practice I remove batteries after using any item I put away after use, so I haven't been able to comment yet on whether it is a battery eater or not. As a result of battery leakage on several remote controls, we have damaged them. It's not uncommon for me to experience this in the tropics. My experience to date has been excellent. I have no.
