This little mortise gauge is absolutely fantastic for the price

The thread appeared to be a bit rough when turning at first, but with some time it smoothed out nicely. Adding a little oil, however, to the thread after it is opened all the way makes it work just as well. Especially if you're a beginner looking for an affordable mortice gauge, this might be the gauge for you.

Mortise gauge of great quality

It is pleasantly surprising how well constructed this gauge is. The service was excellent, and there was no fault to be found. Despite the smooth operation of the gauge, the wood is finished beautifully, and the brass inserts are polished and machined smoothly.

if you are a professional cabinetmaker, you might want to dry the wood first and then apply oil, as well as refine the edges and A casual woodworker should not have any problems with it.
