The best advantage of this for amateur radio antenna work, especially when measuring wires, is the elimination of having to constantly convert between Meters and Feet. A centimeter is equivalent to a foot and an inch. There are few tape measures available in local hardware shops that go beyond 8 meters. If you're working with metric measurements, you can use one of these measures to reduce your chances of making an error. The conversion tables aren't too difficult to use, and they are readily available online, but it's a lot easier to just work with the specs as published. Only downside is that it has a square loop instead of a hook at the end (as with many other longer tape measures). In addition to that, it is gear-driven, which means that the crank is not directly on the axle, but rather geared toward rapidly pushing the tape back in. Weighing in at more than ten pounds, the product is not portable As beefy as you are, I hope that also applies to the internal gearing.
Father's Day was coming up, so I purchased this as a gift. I think this is an awesome deal and I am happy with my purchase! For those of you who are looking for a long measuring tape, this is the one to get.
After purchasing two tape measures, the first one broke within weeks of the second. I finally broke down and bought one that was more than long enough. The first couple of days have been great!.
Despite the fact that it has 100 feet, I did not like the fact that it doesn't indicate.
Measures can be done very easily by putting the end of the tape over a nail or screw.
Is never retracting regardless of what I do.
As expected, it also works as I need it to.
I found this METRIC tape to be really helpful.
