Questions & Answers

On the tape, are there any scales? Foot and tenths (not inches) are what I'm looking for. ?

Both feet, tenths, and inches are marked on the scale. The tape has 10ths on one side and inches on the other. It's actually quite cool! br>Dave Goodwin is a writer who lives in the United States.

Is there a measurement in meters on this tape as well?

On one side, it's feet and inches, while on the other, it's feet and tenths. I believe they sell the model you're looking for, but because of the tenths, it's classified as an engineer's tape.

Is there a foot measurement on both sides of the tape for this product?

On both sides of the tape, there are measurements in feet.

Is there any way to find out where these are made?

I'm not sure where it was made, but it's held up well in a variety of situations.

The best measuring tape I've ever seen! One of my most important tools as an onsite septic designer is a good fiberglass tape
5/5

I've tried a lot of different kinds and brands, but these are by far my favorites and the only ones I buy anymore. Excellent medium weight, well-sized handle with good grip, solid build quality, well-designed crank and loop/hook end on the tape. We eventually wear these out, usually by rolling them up with mud on them too frequently and pulling too hard to get through brush, etc. , but I will continue to buy this brand as long as they are manufactured.

WHY DOESN'T IT LOOK GREEN LIKE IN THE PHOTO? I know I shouldn't buy tools based on their appearance, but I picked this one out of a bunch of others because it had this cool neon green colored tape
3/5

That is, until it isn't. The one I got has obnoxious yellow tape, just like all the others I passed up because of the obnoxious yellow tape. I'm sure it'll do the job, but dude, I chose his because of the color. I'm getting the impression that I've been duped. MY TAPE MEASURE IS NO LONGER COMPATIBLE WITH MY EXTENSION LADDER. To fix this mess, I'm going to have to change EVERYTHING I wear to work. I'm pissed off.

On a budget, this is fantastic! I've been using this tape all year on the homestead
5/5

I built 22 raised garden beds, a chicken run with an attached chicken garden, a 1,600-square-foot mini plow field, 400 feet of property fencing, and a 200-foot snow fence. I wouldn't have been able to do any of it without the help of this handy tape! It's not the kind of thing a surveyor wants to rely on year after year. However, it is not intended to be used by professionals. br>br>However, I can't believe how useful and tough a $15 100 foot tape can be for part-time use around the homestead! It also works as well as it did when it was first purchased. This is the one that I use. It's going to stay that way because of the length of the tape. This is an excellent item.

This is an excellent tape! Except for the marker stake that comes with it, this is a very well-made tape
5/5

The stake is not as shown, as it sticks to the outside of the tape frame rather than being inserted into a slot. The stake snapped off where it snapped into the tape frame the first time I tried to remove it, so I now have to carry it separately. It's not a major issue, but it's a pain.

A tape measure gets a five-star review? Yes
5/5

This is a simple 300-foot tape measure that is well-made and well-thought out. The handle folds down when not in use, effectively stopping the tape from unspooling when you don't want it to. Both sides of the tape are marked in inches and feet, and it has a very slippery surface that makes unwinding and rewinding a breeze. When using the tape by yourself, it comes with a red stake that you can use to anchor one end of the tape. (The only thing I'd change is to shave down the small ridge that keeps the red stake snapped into the unit when it's not in use - Otherwise, the snap would be too tight). This is truly a first-rate item.

Good, but there's room for improvement
3/5

I bought this product twice and had it replaced by Amazon the first time. I've been using it on and off for a few months now, and I can confirm that it does exactly what it claims. However, there are better options available. Anyone who has used these in the field or for surveys knows that if you don't take care when attaching or reeling in the tape, it won't last very long. The tape got tangled or coiled up incorrectly on several occasions. This is due to the metal thread through which the tape passes providing too much room for the tape to twist and fold when reeled in. You can damage or ruin the tension on the tape wheel if you don't pay attention to what you're doing. This has happened so many times that I'm not sure I'll buy another one. Although the ground stake is adequate, it is made of plastic. It connects to the tool in a very basic way, and if you're not careful, you can break it off. TL; TL; TL; TL; TL; TL; TL; TL; TL; TL Overall, if you need a backup tool or florescent double-sided lighting, this is the product for you. This is a two-sided engineer's tape that can be used as a backup. DeWalt's 100-foot tape reel, on the other hand, is better for field use, more durable, and only costs $16. That's a deal you can't pass up.

A reel tape measure is a type of tape measure that is used to measure the length of It's a tape measure on a reel! br>There appears to be some stretch in this one
4/5

This helped me square up a 30-foot-square foundation. I seemed to be able to stretch the tape about 1/8" when pulling from the corners. I don't believe this was due to sag in the line, and the stretchy feel isn't a major issue with a little effort in pulling the tape tight.

The cloth tape I received was not the same as the one shown in the photo
4/5

The cloth tape I received was not the same as the one shown in the photo. This is what it appears to be: Except for the fact that the stake is attached with a zip tie rather than sliding into a slot as shown in the picture, it appears to meet all of the product's specifications.
