Questions & Answers

Is there a combination of standard and metric units?

It does, in fact - The tape has a metric side (yellow background) and a standard side (white background).

What is the procedure for removing the orange stake? It simply pops off, according to one individual. Mine moves around in the holder a little, but it's not easy to remove. If I pull any harder, I'm afraid I'll snap it. Please assist me. ?

Try wiggling it back and forth or rotating it, as it is attached on one side. It should be simple to take off and put back in for storage.

Is this tape in tenths of a foot?

On one side, you'll find inches and feet, while on the other, you'll find metric measurements.

What should I do if I want to return something for a refund?

I should know what I'm talking about when I say that this tape is excellent
3/5

We go through about one every five weeks on average, so it's a good tape. We rarely use them in the way that they were intended. We use them to protect sharp edges of steel pipe, and the fiberglass tape quickly wears out to the point where it can no longer be used. So, instead of going to the hardware store every time you need something, you can use this time to do something else. I began buying our tapes from this location. All in all, it's a much better deal. br>br>The yellow color of this tape makes it stand out and makes it easy to locate. This is a standard tape design that meets our requirements. Throughout the year, I will purchase this as needed. Oh, we've had some other brands that don't roll up easily, but this model hasn't done so. True, we use it in a dusty, as well as a wet environment, and those conditions increase the likelihood of tape fouling. This tape has performed admirably in those conditions and has not become fouled.

Competent in his field
5/5

I collect information for residential real estate appraisals. This tape measure isn't ideal, but it gets the job done (most of the time). br>br>While the tape's end could use a better "claw," it works exceptionally well for the most part. br>br>Despite the roller guide in place to prevent it, the tape itself frequently bends sideways when retracting. However, it's simple to fix and doesn't appear to be causing the tape any long-term damage. A small nub protrudes from the ground stake. br>br> Trying to push it into the ground with your hands becomes excruciatingly painful as a result. I used a dremel to remove it. The issue has been resolved. Really? br>br>If this one breaks, I'll probably buy a new one to replace it.

Be cautious when purchasing something online
3/5

I don't like how the tape measure doesn't have numbers until the fifth measurement. At the end of the tape, there's a metal tab for the included stake, which I just discovered isn't part of the tape measure. br>I had this epiphany after putting up concrete forms that were all an inch off due to the tab and lack of a starting marker.

With one caveat, this is a good product
4/5

It's what I use to lay out fences, and so far it's been a good tape reel. I've used it in muddy and wet conditions, simply wiping the mud away with my fingers as I reeled it in. It's well-made, but there is a small amount of stretch in the tape if you pull on it too hard, which will result in inaccurate measurements. When I'm laying fence out by myself, the plastic stake in the back has a plastic nub on the top that I always use to snap the end of tape onto. Overall, it's a good buy that's stood up to professional use. I am certain that I will purchase more.

Both inches and centimeters are used
4/5

I just received the product, which you can see in the pictures. 1/8 inch and 2 mm are the smallest measurements. It would be nice if it was calibrated to measure 1 mm.

Gardening is made a lot easier with this product
5/5

I bought this on the spur of the moment because I recently purchased a new home and wanted to lay out new garden beds and plant a small orchard. Gardening enthusiasts, get one of these things right now. Thank you so much. When I wanted to space trees and shrubs or plan garden beds in the yard, I used to use a regular measuring tape with strings and other such things. Ha. I had no idea what I had been missing. This device is fantastic, and because it comes with a ground stake to hold one end down for you, it's incredibly simple to use on your own. You won't have to ask your spouse to stand in the hot sun holding one end of a measuring tape while you plan your dream garden while they pack their belongings and flee in the night with this item. Say goodbye to pleading with your four-year-old to stay still so you can hang on to the end of that rusted metal measuring tape you should have thrown out years ago. Admit it. There is one in each of us. br>br>By staking the end of this incredible little device, you can easily measure curved garden bed lines by yourself. I'm not using any more strings or twine because I'm sick of it. I've started measuring distances between random objects in my yard for no apparent reason, but when I roll out this flexible tape, I feel so official about it. It appeals to me. It's lightweight and enjoyable to use, so call me crazy. br>br>I now have perfectly spaced trees, have marked my front and back yards for garden plots and walkways, and can tell you exactly how far my shed, garage, and chicken coop are apart. All. Around. Wins. Buy one. Never turn your back on someone.

It's necessary to use metric on occasion
5/5

While living in the United States, I had no need to use meters. Until I began to throw knives, that is. I became a member of a few groups, mostly in Asia and Europe, and they all use the metric system. Everything is measured or set up in meters when you have a competition. I needed a long-lasting, essentially damp-proof measuring tape that could reach at least 12 meters. This one extends 30 inches on one side and measures inches/feet on the other, giving you the best of both worlds. One side of the tape is green and marked in meters, while the other side is white and marked in inches/feet. It comes with a plastic stake to drive in the ground to hook to, as well as a metal catch on the end to grasp at a starting point. It does, after all, come with a hand crank for retrieving the measuring tape. It's a well-made item that should last a long time.

It's a very useful tool
5/5

I was tired of metal tape measures slipping, kinking, bending, splitting, and so on, so I bought this one. Large and bold measurements are used. When using the measure outside, you can use the stake that comes with it to save time and effort. It's simple to use, and so far it's held up well. I'm hoping it lasts a long time because I really like it.
