There is no geared fast wind, but due to the large spool of tape, it winds very quickly as one winds it in. For me, it's plenty fast.

By the way, I'm a big fan of this cassette. There are only two rollers on my tape. As a result, the metric side of the tape will be used by default. I believe the two rollers could be moved to the other side and the Imperial or US system installed on top, but moving the rollers would necessitate a significant amount of screw removal and replacement. The rollers would be relocated through holes in the frame. I simply turn the handle with my left hand and use it "backwards."

When I was measuring out my property and couldn't find where I had stored my 200 footer, I bought this. br>In comparison to my larger one, this one is brightly colored, light in weight, and compact. The quality is comparable to that of name brands, in my opinion. br>The only difference is that it has a plastic loop end on the tape, which I don't think will cause any issues if properly handled. It has metal tape guides and a bright, easy-to-read tape. If you don't use it every day in harsh conditions, it should last a long time. Expertise: When used incorrectly, even the most expensive name brands will break. I didn't want to spend a lot of money because I was sure the 200-footer was lurking nearby. As is customary, as soon as something is replaced, the old one reappears. I still adore the new Amazon 100-footer and prefer to use it as my primary option. For the price, you can't go wrong; it's a fantastic deal.
It is simple to work with. br>It would be better if the default measure was US rather than metric, because I have to twist the tape to read in US measure. In order to use the tape with only one person, the loop on the end of the tape must be hooked over a nail or screw. The loop is devoid of barbs.
It's not a heavy-duty tape measure, but if you're only doing a couple of jobs that require one, it'll suffice. When I use it, I keep in mind that it is fragile, but it hasn't broken on me yet and functions satisfactorily. It can be used to square a high-resolution image. frame for a tunnel.
For a contractor, I don't think it would last very long, but for occasional use, it's a good buy.
Except for the fact that the metric scale is at the top and the English scale is at the bottom, I like everything about this tape. That wouldn't be a problem if it didn't use the metric system by default. When winding up and reading the tape, the metric is on top by default.
This is a dream after battling the elements with long steel tape measures that bend, etc. This is now one of my favorite tools, thanks to its quick reel-up time, bright lettering, and weatherproof design.
I haven't used it to measure my yard yet, but it's something I desperately need because my metal measuring tape is too clumsy for the job.
It's a great tape, but I wish the inches were specified higher than 12 and repeated at each foot increment. Oh well, for the money, it's still a good buy.
