EXTENSIBILITY IS A FEATURE OF THIS PRODUCT. The AdirPro Elevating Tripod can be expanded by extending the height adjustments. It also has three-section legs with height adjustment buckles and an extended center column to accommodate a variety of needs. It can be expanded from 40 to 114 inches in length.

THEY ARE SMALL AND LIGHTWEIGHT. With collapsible legs, this professional multifunction tripod is portable and light. It's light enough to carry and store in a storage bag, weighing only 13 pounds.

STABLE AND SMOOTH. The AdirPro Tripod rack and rack system allows for smooth, continuous motion, while the built-in circular vial level alerts you to out-of-level conditions. The tripod has a tightening system that tightens the tripod for increased stability at the user's preferred height.

I'm attempting to construct a tall tripod for use in recording soccer games on grass. Is it possible to hide the metal spikes on your feet?

Hello, I'm not sure how far in or why you'd want to cover the metal spikes, but they're only about half an inch tall. This, I believe, would be covered by the turf.

How much weight can you carry at once?

The tripod has a good amount of weight to it. It's only for my level, which is only about 5 pounds. I wouldn't put anything heavier than 50 pounds in there. If you're going to bring it all the way up, make sure you have a good grip on it.

Intended use was to support expensive ($2,000) builders Laser, but the product was defective

The first unit that arrived was unassembled. The telescoping assembly was not secured to the tripod base with screws. In the box, there was one loose screw, but the unit needed three. For countersunk holes, the screw had a flat head. The holes were not countersunk, necessitating the use of a machine screw with a flat head. The flat head was at least an eighth inch short when measured, indicating that countersunk holes would work. The main extension pole, which uses a standard friction ring that you simply turn, was not locking and would easily slide. I ordered a second unit because I was so impressed with how sturdy it was for supporting such a high-priced laser. The second unit had the same problems as the first, with the exception that there were two loose screws in the box rather than one. Both units will be returned to you. It took a long time to repackage, process, and return this item, and it cost a lot of money. It's a shame because I like the unit's build quality. The compression collar slippage was the deal breaker, and there was no way to fix it.
