This does not appear to be a problem in my opinion. The available current should not be a factor as long as the voltage remains constant. However, the lights come with enough batteries to last a long time. Mine don't come off until the morning.
I've noticed that the ones we have here in Eastern Pennsylvania get about 6 hours of direct sunlight per day, and they turn on at dusk, with some of the lights on our porch still on. I hope this information is useful.
They appear to work/recharge properly in the afternoon sun, and they last all night as advertised. So far, I'm impressed with solar lights; I'm not sure how they'd work with obstructions, but the solar panel is fairly flexible and can be directed at openings, or almost vertically in my case, to the afternoon sun.

Why aren't they doing it? I've bought double and now single lights from this company. There are now four (pack) single lights in addition to the six double lights. For the price, they've been quite good, and I'd recommend them. To make a pilot hole in the ground for the stakes, we always use a long screwdriver, a block of wood, and a hammer. Even after drilling a pilot hole, threading the plastic sleeve nut onto the plastic stake broke both units this time. Perhaps if the stakes and stake nut were made of metal or a more durable plastic, they would be a little more durable and easier to install. The ground was not frozen, and all of the units have been installed in two homes in Southern California. Despite the fact that they have never seen snow, it does occasionally freeze overnight during the winter. They've also experienced temperatures of more than 110 degrees Fahrenheit. So far, we've only noticed some discoloration in the solar panels, as well as lenses and labels peeling away. They could also use larger batteries to stay on for longer periods of time. Some, however, with very sunny locations at one residence, stay on all night. So far, these are the most effective solar lights we've discovered. If the manufacturer raised the bar a notch or two, I'd gladly pay double or even triple the price. br>At another residence, we have FX Luminare low-voltage LED lights. They're fantastic, but they're also pricey due to the transformer, wiring, and lighting costs. There is also the additional cost of electricity with all LEDs. br>We sincerely hope that a manufacturer will take solar-powered LED lights to the next level. The entry gates at one of the homes where we use these lights are solar-powered, and they never fail as long as the battery is replaced every two years and the gates are lubricated and serviced. Solar LED light manufacturers must pay attention because the technology is ready to replace low-voltage lighting in sunny locations.
That was not possible with the light I had previously purchased. The solar cell was either directly above or at a lower angle from the lamp, but it was always in direct line with it. The lamp and the solar cell work separately with these lights. I'm glad I found these lights, and I'm going to order more for different areas of my yard.
Two of the four options are excellent. The other two have a hard time keeping up with the charge. We live in Central Florida, and they are exposed to direct sunlight throughout the day. As a result, this isn't a problem. I was a bit let down.
They're simple to set up and operate on a 12-hour timer, so they'll light up your backyard all night. I put them close to the house, and they shine out across the grass and hit the plantings all across the back of my yard (I do have a very shallow backyard, though).
These were recently purchased by me. They're aimed at my trees, and I think they're more of a spotlight than a floodlight. I had previously purchased a different set of lights with the same description, but they are more of a flood light. They are bright and last all night after a sunny day, which is a little disappointing.
The solar panel is larger than most, and the battery powers the lighting for the entire night on a single charge, even when the sun doesn't shine for the full 8 hours. I've purchased similar lighting from other sellers, but none have performed as well as these.
They won't light up your entire yard, but they're great for lighting a path or a close-up window that could be a target for burglars.
These lamps are functional! They're easy to put together, and they've lasted longer than others I've bought.
