Despite the fact that the question is over a year old, I'll share my response: I just got off the phone with APEC and placed an order for the three pre filters. I get my drinking water from a municipal source and use about a gallon per day. They recommended changing the pre filters every 12 to 14 months, and the fourth and fifth filters every four years, based on those two factors. I'd say every six months if you're on a well, which I'm sure will have more solids in the water. Just to let you know, APEC sells the pre filters that need to be changed more frequently separately, so you can save some money by purchasing them directly from APEC. Their customer service is extremely pleasant and helpful (1-800-777-777-777-777-777-777-777-777 800- 880- 4808).
These are filters for the RO filtration unit that need to be replaced. You don't need to buy any additional parts because the APEC unit comes fully assembled. However, the filters must be changed on a regular basis. That's all there is to it. filters should be replaced
It's almost certain. I live in a small apartment and had it installed next to a utility sink and garden hose on the balcony. It fits under the kitchen sink for a lot of people. I didn't want to drill a hole in the countertop, so that didn't appeal to me.

In general, the filters appear to be a good buy. My RO unit has given me a lot of pleasure. I began to notice that the unit was almost constantly backwashing, and I realized that it required new filters. The original filters lasted almost eight months for me. When I replaced the old filters with the new ones, I was astounded by how black they were. I've included a photo of one of the older ones next to one of the newer ones. Iron was completely black in both the first and second stage filters.
For the first time, I had to replace the filler. It does what it says. A few days ago, I changed the filler for the first time. I replaced the filter according to the manufacturer's instructions, but there were still some leaks. That wasn't mentioned in the instructions. I had a rag underneath in case it was completely full, but I suppose I was hoping it wasn't. It wasn't a huge amount, but it was more than my little rag could handle. I got a new rag and was aware of the water, so the other two filters didn't cause me any problems. The entire unit was not removed from the cabinet wall. I simply unscrewed them from their original position. The casing came down on the third filter, but the internal filter was stuck to the top part, causing the water level in the casing to drop below the brim, but causing water spillage if the filter had fallen down. So, if the manufacturer designed it in such a way that it stays up and you can remove it without difficulty, this will likely save a lot of water spillage and make filter changes faster and easier? The water is pushed to the brim of the cartridge by the filter. The water level in the cartridge drops as soon as the filter is pushed out of the casing. br>br>Overall, it works, and I've got another set on the way.
The first three are changed. Every year, we have six stages, but we may be able to cut that down to six. The water in Nassau County is so muddy that it will take months to clean it up. My hands smelled like pennies for the entire day during the first stage. What is more, we have access to safe drinking water.

This water filtration system is one of the best investments I've made in a long time. After reading about all of the contaminants in our water supply, I purchased it in May of last year. That would have been a major issue if there had been no electricity at home and fuel was in short supply. But, thanks to the APEC filter, we were able to drink water without fear. We were once supplying six families with safe drinking water.
I've been using this reverse osmosis water purification system for about a year and a half, and the filtering effect is excellent, but the filter needs to be replaced more frequently than the manufacturer recommends (every 6 to 12 months instead of every 6 to 12 months). I usually use it for four months at a time. It's filthy, so replace the filter as soon as possible for your health's sake.
Obviously, this one is lighter than the original APEC filter, which is made in the United States; however, I can't tell the difference. I strongly recommend that those companies conduct a comparison and list the differences so that we can clearly choose what we want. Isn't it true that some people prefer higher-quality products and others prefer a low price?.
The APEC R/O system is one of the most well-known in the industry. The system is well-built, and the fitters are cheap and last for six months before needing to be replaced. I've had two other R/O systems, one from Sears and the other from a different manufacturer. The other is a Costco purchase. This system is far superior in terms of construction.
