I have been using the ones in the picture for over 15 years, but you don't receive those. Two months were the original ones. I purchased universal fit ones, but they only last about two weeks before turning brown and disintegrating. I disagree with their claim that they are genuine Culligan products, since I think they are aftermarket products As soon as I contacted Amazon, they informed me that they would investigate the matter. Subscribing to them and saving them to my list was convenient, but I don't think I want to keep receiving There is an item I'm looking for locally. A minor update A very nice man answered the phone when I called Culligan today. I gained valuable information about the performance of filters from him. Previously, I commented that the filters I received did not resemble the one shown in the picture, which was apparently made in the My representative said he would forward the information to the appropriate party after reviewing Amazon reviews. I forwarded photos of what I had to him. It said that the filtration units I got were universal filters made in China. On the package, they had the Culligan name. There is a real sense of hope that we will be able to get our hands on the US-made ones again.
The photos show "Made in USA" on the label, but what I got was Because I wanted products made in the United States, I scoured and looked for filters extensively. Due to the origin of the photos, I had paid a premium for these items, so when I received them, I felt cheated because I was getting Chinese junk.
However, these are only sediment filters, but they do their job very well. Using these filter housings in combination with a whole house filter to keep sediment, sand, and other contaminants out of the water system is how we use them for our RV. The machines don't make undrinkable water drinkable, nor do they filter out bacteria, but if you want the small particles that plug screens, damage water pumps, etc. removed, these will do the job.
Thank you for letting me know about these subscription services on Amazon. Because our well water is so rusty, we need them every month and at half the price of buying them at the big box store, they are an excellent My only wish is that they would last a bit longer since ours seem to clog up so fast, yet they seemed to last longer when they were Whirlpool brand before Cullingan purchased them. As a whole, the machine still works well for removing heavy sediment. Thanks for reading this review and let me know if it was helpful to you.
They are part of the Watts Whole House Filter system I own. The company seems to be in a good position In the - Optimal road choice down to the micron level. In addition, the 50 micron filters allow quite a bit of sediment through, and the 10 micron filter is so large that it's required to be replaced frequently. Several generations of my family have used these at home and in my business as campground bath houses. There are a low cost and good quality to them, and Amazon offers them on their Subscribe and Save program, which helps keep a constant supply of them readily available.
We bought these as opposed to the 50-micron filters that came with our filter housing and have observed a difference in water quality. As we live in the country and have a well with very high iron content water, we were hoping to be able to drink and cook with tap water, and this gives us the opportunity to do so. Water coolers are still my favorite way to drink water, but I substitute tap water for use in cooking and with my pets now. Using this container saves me from having to haul 5 gallon jugs around!.
For example, if there is less sediment and more iron, the filter last for about three Two filters in a pack will cost you less than 9 dollars. Using those filters for a year would cost you less than 20 dollars for clean water and white teeth.
It is very hard for me to get rid of sediment. There are three filters in my system, two sediment filters and one carbon filter. It used to be I had to change the first solid filter every five days, then the second filter would go on top of the first one. Since I bought four of these in July, I change the first filter every seven to ten days, wash it out and replace it. This is for you to use. As far as I can tell, this is the cheapest filter available on the market. A water sample has been taken from my well, and the water is fine. Water is the only problem I have with it, cause it is extremely hard. These items have not caused me any problems so far, although I shall not say they are for all purposes. If you have bacteria, rust, or some other type of contamination, you may face problems. The order for 10 more sets has just been placed. When the filter is new and improved or disappears, at least I will have a years' supply of filters before having to accept.
