America Standard fixed every issue that came up within five months, including the split tank and water damage to the upstairs and downstairs.
An exact replacement for a tank that was damaged while being removed to have a closet flange repaired. As a bit of a surprise, it came fully assembled with fill and flush valves and even with at least a few tank bolts already installed. Using the new gasket that came with the package, I installed it directly into the new box.
A toilet from American Standard came with the house I just bought. I had to replace the toilet tank due to damage caused by a cracked tank. In the end, I chose to buy the tank separately instead of the whole toilet because I am a petite lady and I don't have the experience to install it myself, and a plumber would be incredibly expensive. Therefore, I opted to purchase the tank separately. Honestly, the installation was VERY difficult to say the least, and it shouldn't have been! The screws that came with it had broken, and the bowl-to-tank gasket was TOO huge! Furthermore, I know that certain toilet bowls are only compatible with certain tanks, but I ensured before I purchased the tank that it was the right size by contacting customer service and speaking with several As a result, when it came to installing it, there was a lot of leakage because the screws weren't tightened because they were broken and the gasket was too large. While I could/should have returned the tank, since I had already set it up, I didn't want to go back to that. The installation instructions said it would be included in the installation, however I had to go to a hardware store and get the seperate parts. I swear, what a lie! The situation is very upsetting to me. Since it took so long to install, I should've bought a new toilet and used a plumber rather than investing in an upgrade. My time would not have been wasted and it would have been less expensive. OR if I had gotten.
It was the perfect solution for me. Because I did not have to buy a new toilet, I was able to save quite a bit of money. I was very happy with the shipping. It only took me a couple of days to get this tank.
There is a delay in shipping and a change in price. The information that this tank will fit in which bowl is confusing I am hoping that it will work.
My call to American Standard resulted in an informational customer service rep who gave me the part number and the cheapest location to order it. Hardware does not need to be purchased separately. In that case, you must specify the type of insulation you want.
This is an excellent original. The hardware works fine, but be careful not to overtighten it. You should be fine if you use the supplied wrench.
