The fill tube water level goes down by approximately 2 1/2 inches when the American Standard Model 4188a I have is two and a half years old. Once the toilet has been refilled and the tank has been filled to the top, wait 7 minutes. ?

I would talk to a local plumber about the leak since it does not sound like it is sealing correctly.

In relation to the mounting bolts, what is the distance between them?

There are 6 bolt holes in the bolt hole spread. There is a 5" tank, but this is not a universal tank and would only fit

I really needed this at a time when I desperately needed My price range allowed me to purchase it. Despite the fact that it is an everyday occurrence, it has been working fine. Another one is going to be purchased shortly.
