There is a maximum pressure of 150 PSI for the Proflo PFXT51 Pressure Tank. We have a relatively high water pressure, approximately 65 to 70 PSI, in our area. With 14 PSI, the tank is ready to use. To ensure that the air pressure stays at 2 PSI below the local pressure, add air before installation.
