With four towels, I was worried it would be too bulky or protrude too far. Nope. This is one of my favorite things. It's a win when you can go from two to four towels while taking up less space. It's something I've already told others about.
We knew we didn't just need a standard towel rack. I tried to get one of the towel racks that had a shelf. We eventually settled on one that cost more than $50, but when it arrived, it was crooked. Nope. I returned it to you. Then I came across this little gem. It's almost embarrassing how much I'm looking forward to it! It's like being in a five-star hotel. It looks great, moves smoothly, and holds all of our towels for half the price!br> Let's hope it lives up to my high expectations!.
After comparing a few different price ranges, this one was the clear winner! The arms swing smoothly, and the construction is good and sturdy. When compared to some of the less expensive versions, it is well worth the extra money. For my other sink, I'm going to order a second one.
I wish the arms were a little longer because they aren't quite the length of a bath towel folded in half, but it's better than the horizontal type because getting both ends into a stud is nearly impossible, forcing you to use drywall anchors. br>br>Overall, I'm very pleased with it; the metal appears to be of good quality and is not flimsy. Holds several towels with ease. It's also very simple to set up.
The rack itself appears to be in good condition - The bars droop a little because there isn't much support where they screw into the vertical mount. The anchors are br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br For where I was mounting it (drywall with insulation behind it), the screws provided were useless. Because of the thinness of drywall, it didn't secure very well when I installed it. I decided to give it a shot anyway, and the next day, when removing a towel, my husband ripped it out of the wall. br>br>Because I didn't have time to go out, I decided to order toggle bolts from Amazon - They managed to capture me once more. Anyway, I re-hung the rack using toggle bolts, and it's now completely secure. It doesn't change the fact that the bars slant down slightly, but towels don't slide off. It's just a pain. br>br>Overall, this is a good product. Even if you have a block wall, I believe the anchors provided are unlikely to withstand the force of pulling a towel off the rack - Larger anchors should be purchased, in my opinion.
I got tired of hanging dishwashing rags over the faucet and dish drying towels over the dishwasher handle, so I mounted one of these near the sink on the upper cupboard side. A minor annoyance has been resolved. br>br>The rack appears to be sturdy, and it was easy to install with just a small drill bit (for a pilot hole) and a screwdriver bit. If you're attaching it to a wall, it also includes drywall plugs. Although I prefer a sturdier style of drywall hanger I get from Home Depot, you would need to pre-drill the wall for those.
Paint job is dreadful. Not the most durable of materials. The fact that it arrived broken was the first indication that this wasn't going to work. The rods are simply pressed into sockets and aren't securely fastened. Because it's made of aluminum, black anodizing it would have made a lot of sense, but instead it's just spray painted. When it arrived, some of the paint had been scraped off. The packaging appears to be in good condition. If you want the included screw covers, you'll have to mount it with the included screws and wall anchors. The covers are held in place by special screws. I'd rather use 2" wood screws and drill into a stud, but the included screws aren't long enough. br>I'd rather be in the mood to try to fix and improve a brand new towel bar, so I'm returning this one.
I had a "normal" towel rod installed next to the shower, but because it was screwed into the sheetrock, the screws kept coming loose. My wall has a stud in the middle. I didn't like the idea of using individual hooks for bathroom towels, so I looked for something that could be mounted vertically. This was an excellent discovery. It's simple to put up, and it's very sturdy because it's drilled into a stud in the middle of the wall. It can hold four large bathroom towels. This product is ideal if you have a small space and want to hang multiple towels.
