It will definitely damage a wall if you use it with the sticky pads already attached, but I removed them and replaced them with command strips so I could remove it without damaging the wall.
Thank you for your inquiry. The base plate has a 3-inch diameter. 54'' x 1. 77''. It's possible that it won't be able to fill in the gap you mentioned. Please accept my apologies. Thanks.
This was not an issue for me. I was able to stay awake for a long time, but I didn't use it in the shower. I'm not sure what would withstand being submerged in water.
It's safe to use on wood that hasn't been sanded. The adhesive force on this towel bar is strong, and it can be used immediately after installation. br>If the wood's surface isn't perfectly smooth, you can still use it, but anything weighing more than 1KG should be hung from it. br>After our tests, we found that this towel bar is properly mounted on the glass and can be suspended for more than 60 minutes at a weight of 20 pounds. I put it in about 6 weeks ago, and there hasn't been an INCH of movement since! It's truly amazing.
I'd like to share my personal experience with you. It's been up for a while and is still going strong despite daily use and the odd bump. The most crucial step is to thoroughly clean the surface. Apply firm pressure to the sticky for at least 30 seconds. If you're going to hang something heavy, give it at least 24 hours after application. It is extremely beneficial to adhere to the instructions.
We bought this to use as a towel holder on our dishwasher because our new one does not have one like our old one did. It performs admirably and accomplishes the task at hand. My only complaint is that it comes in three pieces, and the bar is only held in place because it can't escape once the ends are glued down, but it isn't firmly secured. As a result, when our dishwasher runs or we move the towel on top of it, the bar rattles around and makes a grating metal-on-metal noise. I would have glued the bar into the holes on the end caps before putting it up if I had known this ahead of time. It's not the end of the world, but it's annoying, and my three-year-old has figured it out and is now trying to play with it, which only adds to the annoyance. I'd still buy it if the bar wasn't able to spin and was firmly held in place.
This is the second one I've ordered because I love it so much. My husband claimed that he installed it upside down on purpose so that the towel's weight would not pull it down. Although the adhesion is excellent, I prefer the way it was hung. If it were the other way around, a heavy towel would be pulling down from above. I hope that was clear. I'm thinking about getting one for the other bathroom as well. We installed the small one for the shower, and it works great.
Installing it was a breeze. It's a strong adhesive that, despite its thinness, is quite rigid. I would strongly suggest it. It was well worth the money.
This item was purchased so that I could hang a Captain America shield in my husband's "man cave. " Game room in the "cave. " So let me start by saying that my review is based on an off-the-cuff assumption. I wasn't trying to hang a towel, so I didn't use the product for that. The bar, however, only lasted about a day before it fell off the wall. As a result, I can confidently state that I would not purchase and use this product for anything other than a bath or hand towel.
This purchase has left me extremely disappointed. It's both cheap and overpriced. Very small; for the same price, I ordered a 12 inch, which is longer than this 16 inch. I was tempted to return it because the pole kept falling off and you had to get them very close together to keep them in place. It's also not designed for large, heavy drying bath towels; it's more suitable for face and hand towels. I am not going to buy it or recommend it to anyone.
Although the adhesive worked a second time, some customers complained about the ceramic tiles falling off. Because most bathroom tiling isn't porous, I'm guessing this is the case. I used this on a wooden plank and it was amazing how well it held up. When I moved, I used a hair dryer to follow the removal instructions. I had a lot of trouble removing it, and some of the wood ripped off in the process. I thought I'd have to reinstall it in the new closet, but I was able to reattach it with the same adhesive that had previously been used, and it still holds a bath towel. You've been warned if you're going to use this on wood! Also, this should not be used on painted surfaces because it will rip the paint off.
