Please accept my sincere apologies. Unfortunately, we have had bad weather recently. The size of the case is 5" wide by
My previous mailbox had the hardware, so all I did was transfer it. I don't have a lot of insight since it was the same set up as before.
So I assume it's all right because I've been receiving my mail.
There is no way to reverse the position of the flag or housing, as they are "pre-mounted".

The installation has yet to take place (winter and our existing post needs some work), but holy crap, this thing is huge. The size of this thing is huge. There is plenty of room in there to fit three human heads. They might get a little grumpy, since they'll also be sitting on four live chickens. This container is large enough to stand a 2-liter bottle of coke inside it with enough clearance to pass your hand over it without touching it. Even though I can reach the back, I have to go up to my shoulder in order to reach the back of it. In order to view things in the back, we are thinking of installing some LED lighting inside the cabinet once it is installed. We're excited to be the envy of everyone around with this huge beast. It is so big that it is comical.
This metal is so thin that it can't hold its shape. There will be no way to keep the door open with the latch. When I did some troubleshooting, I discovered that the shell had Trying to squeeze the sides a bit, I reached the top of the box until the latch hooked onto the top. The door is now so hard to open that you can hardly open it anymore. It is freezing here in the Northeast, and we have snow on the ground. As most people do, our PO instructed us to just fill a 5 gl pale with cement. When you open or close it, it will not stay upright. Moreover, the thin sides of the bed are wavey where they are riveted to the base, in a way that allows you to see light through the gaps between the The size of the project is enormous. You've got that going for you. There is no hope for it to last. There's nothing more overpowered than a car full of teens with baseball bats. It would be easy to take this down with one of those marshmallow shooters.
There is a lot in it. You might consider getting a bigger mailbox if you are getting a lot of packages from Amazon these days. It almost looks like the dog could fit inside this, and it isn't a small dog, as you can see in the photo. If you plan to mount the mailbox on a post, be sure the post is large enough. We have a few inches of overhang. Not much else to say about it. Designed by a maker who's been in business for 130 years, this galvanized steel workhorse is tough but affordable. In our previous, smaller one, a tree fell on it during a blizzard, taking the entire thing down.
A part of the item needed to be assembled. is a gap of approximately 1/2" at the seams. It will take a little time to dry your mail, so be ready to devote some time to The bolts had to be added in small amounts and we had to run a sealant line to minimize gaps. A thin layer of metal covers the entire surface. The interior of the vehicle is also covered in greasy black boot prints, I tried to clean them away, but it I wouldn't be surprised if the inspector was on vacation when this one came off the line and was.
META mailboxes that are sturdy and well built are my preference. Due to the hot climate here in Florida, many mailboxes made out of flexible plastic become brittle and give up Additionally, this one is coated, so there is no risk of rusting at all. Last metal mailbox at this house lasted for more than 30 years, so I'm pretty confident this one will do the same. Besides being large enough for most small packages and bulky mailings, it also means that postmen will not have to visit my door as often or I will not have to go to the Post Office often for pickups. A win-win scenario All the way around, we win.
I wanted it to be large because I needed it to hold a lot of items. There seems to be a type D post required for this. I admit the type D looks a little silly since we didn't use it. In this case, the box itself appears to be fine. It does seem rather flimsy, however the weight it would carry would be immense if it were of a heavier material. I only have one real complaint the box in which they shipped the item was not sufficiently protected or cushioned to endear it to me as a gift. This seems to be a common theme when it comes to dings when received. Put this thing in a better box,.
Thanks to Amazon's reduced price AND to my actions of not buying it via mail, I waited until it was a reduced price! It will serve as a storage container for my garden tools. First time a piece of mail is delivered, it will fall apart! Because the door is crooked, it can be difficult to close. In a mailbox, I am certain that the PLASTIC parts would fall out very soon, although as PLASTIC parts they would fit. As many people have said in reviews (I'm not sure why this got so many good reviews), returning it is expensive, so I cannot do it. In terms of what I paid and for storing gardening tools, it should be good enough. In any case, it is not suited as a mailbox.
The chunky ones are my favorite. I love this so much. Large and sturdy, it's perfect for a big family. It will be no problem to fit Amazon packages.
