Questions & Answers

Are grocery ads and local flyers put in the newspaper holder mounted by the postal carrier?

In addition to what others have said, the wall does not have a newspaper rack. On the side of the box is the red flag meant to alert the carrier that outgoing mail is in the box however, this is a rather dated (or ironic) feature on a box designed to keep out people who would tamper with (or steal) Those who do not want to receive ads for grocery stores should check the small print on the back of the envelope for additional information about how to STOP receiving Be sure your carrier knows that you no longer wish to receive them, because it's not very uncommon for them to stuff them into the boxes (since most people won't take the trouble to unsubscribe).

Do you have the ability to send outgoing mail from the Mail Boss mailbox, or are you only able to receive incoming mail?

The first step would be to contact the local post office and tell them what you are trying to achieve. In addition, you can view the specific procedures for having your mail picked up by visiting the USPS website. By the way, I have a MailBoss, and I think it's the best mail box I've ever had. It seems to me you are worried about the security of the outgoing mail, right? There is an important issue with mail bosses. The outgoing mail is accessed without a password or key I believe this applies to just about any mailbox on the planet.

The country in which this product is made?

The product is made in China, but it was designed in the U.S.

Which dimensions do they have?

You have given the dimensions on your website The following dimensions apply to the product A 21 x 11 is a size of 21x11 The square of 2 x 13 is the following The following dimensions are 8 inches tall Strangely, the weight of the order is listed as 39 pounds while the shipping weight is listed as 43 The irony is not lost on me!

It ought to- It could be I'd like that

I am glad I bought a Mail Boss to begin with! On Friday, we witnessed another large-scale attack on our neighborhood's mailboxes, this time early in the morning. As a result, There was a problem with his Thanks to a day before in which we picked up our mail, we had it in hand. Having purchased our new security mailbox from Amazon, we now have an upgraded security mailbox at our disposal. Mail Boss is the name of the program. One of our elderly neighbors across the street has had a Mail Boss for a few years, and his mailbox has not been damaged As our security mailboxes did in December 2017 and again in March 2017, we also noticed the same thing. Our investment in a Mail Boss should have been made in December after the break - I hate it. Last night, I was driving through a neighborhood and stopped the car when I spotted this set of 3 curbside mailboxes that had been vandalized! They were remarkable because they did the following The first and the second Those two were the same "security locking" mailboxes we had in Dec and March we had been broken into them both! Additionally, the 3rd style of mailbox is identical to the mailbox of our elderly neighbor that DIDN'T get broken into during the months of December There are one There are two Those are three. Comparing both at the same time. The proof is in the eating, Those are the three mailboxes I took pictures of! The files have been posted here so you can see them. I have, of course, masked over the addresses.

Some things might not be what they seem

The hinge was rusted and the door was broken years later. After 3 years of having purchased this mailbox, I am composing this review. It seems that the construction is sturdy and durable I am sad to report that the bottom hinge of the locking door is rusted. The lock functions as described, but the security is great. This is a bit disappointing since I paid almost $200 for the mailbox, but it's not worth the use it can bring. There is no way for me to fix the mailbox and the incoming mail door is no longer secure, so I'm unable to use it. My disappointment is compounded by the fact that the "lifetime" warranty excludes rust. It is a shame, as the box is secure, but the metal hinge appears to be defective. In fact, it is the only spot on the box that is In any case, the box can't be used without this hinge. Currently I am in the process of finding a secure box, but I bet I won't be repurchasing this brand or spending anywhere near that amount.

Excellent mailbox but with a safety defect on my end
3/5

I ordered the Mail Boss 7106 in-ground mail box and the Mail Boss 7121 indoor mail box and was able to install them in my home Buying a ground steel post through Amazon is a good idea. It was a pleasant surprise to find that both boxes arrived undamaged within the usual timeframe. The only quality issue was that, on the Mail Boss 7106 mail box, the steel plate that forms the door was as sharp as a kitchen knife on about half of its It was a blessing that I was able to spot the unusually sharp edge when I placed my fingers under the mailbox to pick it up, or I would have been bleeding profusely. In this instance, it appears that the sharp edge resulted from a combination of a steel plate that had not been adequately filed on the bottom edge and which then was covered with In my attempt to prevent myself or anyone else from harming themselves, I considered filing the sharp edge, but doing so exposed bare steel, which will rust over time. I hope the postman or nearby child won't come into contact with it. On 23/04/2017, the mail box was stamped with the stamp of Quality Control Inspector "C", which means the inspector needs to look for sharp edges more carefully. The rest of the day went I made it. I also noticed that when it rains, the top surface of the mailbox collects a pool of water. (Since the mailbox is level, this is not an issue. ) After rain, it would probably be best for the company to slope or curve the top so that most of the water is shed. Though I would normally give two stars to the mailbox, I decrease it to three stars due to the sharp edge safety issue, and the possible issue with water pooling on the top. There is no explanation as to why Mail Boss refuses to provide exact descriptions and sizes on its sales pages, but here is what is provided A mounting plate on the mail box adds 35 pounds to its weight. There is no question that it is very powerful, and I doubt that a typical attack could even scratch or dent it. To hold up a box that heavy, you will need to bury a post rather deep (or cover it in concrete) to prevent the box from falling over. Opening the mail entry slot, one will find that the opening measures approximately 10 inches in diameter. The size of the square is 25 inches The height of the man is 00 inches. Since my arm is slender, I was able to get my arm into the box up to my elbow, but there was probably no way I could have reached any mail inside unless there was a substantial stack in there. An ordinary person is unlikely to be able to force an air baffle. Located on the entry slot door, the door is hinged on a sturdy piano hinge and can be easily pulled down about 120 degrees. The plunger does not have a spring return, so it must be manually reset to its closed position A hinged door. In the package, there are two fairly strong magnets, one at each side, which will draw the door in toward the closed position when it approaches it. As a result, the revolving door of the mail entry is held tightly shut by The dimensions of the frame are 25"W x 2"H. The outermost slot is 5"H x 5"deep) where one can store outgoing mail, so that the postman may carry it out when he opens the mail The door hides the outgoing mail that the owner has placed on this space, so mail cannot fall into the box, but it is not secured, so anyone can open the door, see the mail that is waiting for the owner, Easily open the lockable bottom door with one of the three keys included (on my box, the bottom had a knife-edge), which the owner opens with one of the three included keys to take mail out. It will extend more than When you do not close it, it will just hang down due to its lack of spring tension That's it. Mail can be retrieved from the bottom of the door when it is open, which has a 10-inch opening. It measures 25 inches long by 6 inches wide. In the box interior, there are 18 inches of depth, and there are 7 inches of height under the anti-theft device There are 12 inches of space beyond the fishing ledge. All three of the included keys fit the lock perfectly and open it without any trouble. Two inches long, one inch wide, and 3/16 inch thick, each key has a code number that can be used to order a new one. As the lock and the keys are sturdy and keyed in a similar way to car ignition keys, it is not likely that an amateur would be able to pick the lock from the outside. The lockable mail door has two holes into which are inserted two flat-head screws. A Phillips head bolt (with washers) is placed to attach the mail box to the mounting plate included with it. As a result of the two bolts entering two threaded 12. 5 inch female connectors which are welded to the mounting plate, the mail box assembly will be securely attached It is possible to access and remove the bolts from the mounting plate only by opening the lockable mail box door, so even if the door isn't opened, no one can remove the mail box from its mounting plate. A mounting plate is included in the package, and it will be bolted onto a steel post with four included hex-head bolts Bolts on the heads of lag bolts (which, strangely, require a 12 mm socket wrench - a 12 inch wrench isn't big enough to turn them). There are four 3/16" holes in the bottom plate of the mail box itself, spaced 10" apart front to back and 4" apart side to side. There are two other holes in the very back of the bottom plate, and they probably just drain water. It seems that the bottom of the mail box plate has a knobbly surface so that mail is held a bit off the main surface if it was moist due to condensation or the like.

Either the post or the mail box were Posts are bolted into the ground with the mounting plate bolted to the top plate of the post. Once the mail box is mounted on the mounting plate, it is secured with the two bolts that are accessible only by unlocking the mail door with the key that comes with the package. One slides the mail box onto the mounting plate after the mounting plate has been bolted to the post, and then attaches it to the mounting plate using the two screws. If the lockable door is not open, then a thief cannot access the bolts or screws. I.

U. In order to comply with postal regulations, the entry slot of the mail box must be located 41 to 45 inches above ground level. Using the included mounting plate, this mail box is mounted on a steel post approximately 12 inches above the top plate of the post, at which point the mail entry slot above the steel post is almost 12 inches above the top plate of the steel post. As the post is 43" long, you will only be able to sink about 10 to 14 inches of the steel post into the ground if the street is level with the ground on which the mailbox will be mounted. Depending on whether the post is on a residential street with a curb, or whether it will be mounted in the ground a few inches beneath the street surface, you may be able to sink the steel post a few inches deeper. Even then, even if you concrete the post all the way up to the top, it will probably not be deep enough to securely hold a heavy mail box. There is a high probability that you will want to use one of these tools It is possible to significantly increase the depth of the post by sliding a treated wood post inside a hollow steel post - especially when you are not using If you live in a cold climate, you probably need to be at least three to four feet underground. You should also make sure that the front face of the mailbox is at least 6 inches from the side of the road (close enough for the postman to reach it comfortably but not so close that he hits his van with the mirror). Having my mailbox installed by a handyman was quite an undertaking. I paid him $150, but I gave him a little more because it was difficult to break up and remove the concrete footing from the previous mailbox post. He used an 80 pound bag of Quikrete to install my post. Once the post was installed, installing the mailbox was simple and easy.
